Clemens is the quarterback next season. He was drafted to be the future and Tannenbaum and company havent lost any faith in him. They understood what he was dealing with last season (o-line, no weapons, inexperience). They tried to give Pennington a chance to play so he could build some trade value. Didnt happen that way. Anyway, theres no qb competition. Clemens is the starter and Pennington is absolute trash. The Jets know this and all the talk about an open qb compettition is just talk.

I dont understand how serious Jets fans can still be pushing Pennington as the team's starter. Didnt you guys watch the game against the Patriots in December?- We almost beat them without an offense- Our offense was completely broken and Pennington gives us no chance to score. He also resembles Vinny in the face of a rush.

They pulled Chad everytime in the red zone for Brad Smith. You cant even count that game.

I want to blame the OL for Kellen just as much as for Chad.

The OL doesn't give Kellen time to make a decision so he can take advantage of his strong passing and quick release. The OL doesn't give Chad the time, after a quick read and a quicker decision to throw his "over-the-top-from-Vinnie-T" slower passing release.

And neither of them can wait for any WR to get past eight yards.

When the OL can pass block well and run block well, then you can judge the QBs. Until then, your frustration is understandable but don't let it misguide you. As you can see, it doesn't misguide the CS.

I don't think it's non-sense, it's real frustration. However, Joe Willie, I agree with your points here a lot.

Time will tell that the CS are doing the right thing. May the best QB win out behind a kick-ass OL. We got Faneca. A little bit more now.
