Might have been the darkroom episode.. Or keeping the Jets on standby while "the decision" was being contemplated. Left a bad impression on a lot of folks. One man's take on this.
I’d have to take my shoes off to count the reasons Aaron Rodgers is a turd but I swore we all decided these reasons have nothing to do with football and we’re going to root for Aaron Rodgers, the Jet, not the person. I find it funny that this topic comes up again when a certain member returns from a vacation we all wish was permanent.
This is a good point…has EVERY team already done it? I can’t imagine. Personally I LOVE football and I LOVE our team, but I have pretty much zero interest in this kind of reality type stuff. I think it’s a distraction that we don’t need right now. And I think it’s really unfair if the NFL were to force us to do it when there are other teams that have never done it…
I dunno how much revenue the NFL makes off "Hard Knocks" but for them to put in a mandate, it must be substantial.
I used to think he was kind of arrogant but it was rooted in jealousy. It was hard to see QB's like him while the Jets trotted out white dog shit year after year. I'm guessing that the people that don't care for him have an issue with what happened during the pandemic. As far as his darkness retreat, I don't see it as an issue. The trade was always going to take time as the two sides did their best to get the best of each other. I guess you could say he cost us a chance at Carr but I believe that Rodgers is the better QB. And as far as Jimmy G goes, he still hasn't passed a physical. What a disaster he would have been. Rodgers may not be your cup of tea and I get that. It just seems silly to bring it up everytime his name is mentioned.
Yeah... me too. Maybe there's solace in the fact that Brady & Manning were able to conjure up another trophy before they applied for MediCare.
I never intimated anything criminal about the guy. I also never intimated that me - me! - of all people want the Jets to choke because it's flake turd Rodgers. I'm just not into glorifying someone who hasn't even played one regular season game as a Jet. Let him do something for me first. The funny part is that Aaron Rodgers has always presented as exactly the kind of asshole that most posters on here would probably not choose to cultivate in real life. Being a famous flake turd doesn't nullify that for me, and I'm never gonna meet the guy. I just find it weird that because he's our flake turd he's suddenly not a flake turd. He's not a personal friend of anyone on here, am I right? I'm a fan of the laundry, not Aaron Rodgers. I can't believe I even wasted my time typing this post out.
there’s no distraction or disadvantage. Maybe 10-15 years ago when these guys never played in front of cameras before the point would be valid. These days, coming from the Alabamas and Georgias of the world they’ve been playing, practicing and making money off cameras (NIL) since high school
It's not going to take much for him to accomplish something for the Jets. The bar is extremely low when it comes to QB's. So once he throws for 300 yards in a win and completes over 60% of his passes he will be the best QB we've had in forever. I have faith he can do that. The only other thing I care about is him being a good teammate/leader and so far there's every indication he will be just that. Yeah, he deceived people about getting vaccinated. At the time it was a big deal. Now? Not so much.
No one ever had a bad thing to say about Rodgers before he didn’t want to get jabbed. I don’t thinks it’s a coincidence that the media turned on him at that point and tilted his image in the public eye.
That's my thought as well. Him doing the "am I retiring or not?" things never meant much to me because he wasn't on my team. Him being a prick to the media is a plus as far as I'm concerned. What else is there? It's all about the vax.
