I don't think Fred Wilpon screamed when Brian Bannister pulled a hamstring 2 years ago in San Francisco running the bases against the Giants. How about the AL gets with real baseball and eliminate the DH......
It's one thing to see an AL Pitcher get hurt if he was up there with the bat, and broke a finger while bunting or something, but this is running the fucking bases. I mean, come on.
how about the NL gets with the every other league in the baseball playing world and drop that ridiculous automatic out?
If the DH came before the pitcher batting I'd say ok but the DH didn't come till after what 100 years of pro baseball? BTW they don't use a DH in Japan and from 1940 till 1973 when the DH if you take out the Yankees the NL doubled the AL in World Series Champions 15-7....... Now from 1974 on ..... 20-14 in favor of the AL.......
Japan uses the DH like MLB, one league has it and one league doesn't. Although the rules may be slightly different, it's used by almost all of amateur baseball, and the only time it's not used in the minors is when NL affiliates in AA and AAA play each other.
You take the Yankees out of the equation and it's tied..... all it proves is that with or without the DH the Yankees own. I'm just being honest..... still hate them but hard to argue with the truth.
I think it's done just like in the majors..... in NL affiliate parks. I've worked for both an NL and AL team and I thought we had the pitcher bat when I was in Colorado Springs regardless of who came into town but I could be mistaken.
what are you talking about dude? college uses DH- Minor leagues use DH- Japan uses DH- latin leagues all use DH.
Japan uses it like MLB. All affiliates below AA use it, AL and NL. The only time it's not used is in AA and AAA when two NL affiliates play.
some great agruments for both sides on this topic, i just want both leagues [al,nl] to have it or not
