I'd love to agree with you, but four productive seasons, no matter how productive, just isn't long enough. Had he played even another 2-3 seasons at a below average level, I'd agree 100%. But as it is, there are, and most likely will continue to be, much more deserving players not in the HOF who are well ahead of him. And I was a huge Davis fan.
Lock HOF'er in his first year of eligibility. He'll be regarded as one of the top 4 or 5 linebackers ever once he retires. Good call on both, IMO. I'll add Clinton Portis, Ricky Williams, and Aeneas Williams.
as much as I would love to see that ass-hat get denied the HOF, his numbers are too good to keep him out. I hope to god he is left off because he is/was the biggest jackass in all of sports in his prime. He was traded to baltimore, and somehow got the league to not allow the trade so he could be traded to Philly, then made an even bigger ass of himself there, then he went to dallas after his stunt with their Star... then he ran himself out of Jerry's town as well...
thomas Jones... when its said and done, he will have more than 10,000 yards rushing and 70 total td's. not quite HOF worthy (unless he somehow manages to continue doing what he did for us the last 2 years in KC for the next 2-3 seasons) but definately HOVG quality
That last stat is amazing, only 5 players in total have reached the 2,000 yard mark. 1973 O.J. Simpson, Buffalo 14 332 2,003 6.0, 12 1984 Eric Dickerson, L.A. Rams16 379 2,105 5.6, 14 1997 Barry Sanders, Detroit 16 335 2,053 6.1, 11 1998 Terrell Davis, Denver 16 392 2,008 5.1, 22 2003 Jamal Lewis, Baltimore 16 387 2,066 5.3, 14 That alone should raise the question-
