Since Sparano is official...are we going to see what happened in Dallas again? I'm eagerly waiting the news of Haley being hired too.
Having Sparano and Haley work together wouldn't really be all that different from what the Jets have been doing on the defensive side of the ball with the collaboration of Rex, Pettine and Thurman. I don't know where all the confusion is coming from because the offense would run something like: Sparano: OC/ Running coordinator Haley: Assistant HC / Passing coordinator Peyton Manning: QB / Play-caller (although that's a joke, in a weird way, it kind of makes sense that the Jets might be planning to do that). hmm...
Also, is the sheer amount of people spelling Sparano as "Sporano" annoying anyone else? We've played his team 6 times in the past 3 years. You would think people would know the name of the head coach of a division opponent. I can spell Belichick and Gailey too!
Haley meeting the Jets tomorrow. Per Jenny Vrentas: Todd Haley is arriving in New Jersey this evening; he will visit with the Jets tomorrow, per source. #nyj 6:00PM EST
I'm assuming this is more of a meet and greet since I truly expect him to be hired just as fast as Sparano was unless he fucking farts at the meeting.
Yes, I'm expecting a pretty immediate hire as well since there has been much written on Sparano and Hailey's desire to work together again, farting or not.
 I thought I would wait a week or so before I started a thread about it. BTW, Don, your explanation was more retarded than your initial post.
I love the fact some were reporting he was already meeting with them today (meaning he was in the building). Now, we find out the guy isn't even in New Jersey? Is the man some type of wizard/magician? If so, I'm even more intrigued by his possible hire. Get it done, Tanny!
My guess is that this is nothing more than salary negotiation at this point and the hire is pretty much a done deal.
That is my take, and also my worry. That they don't throw Haley enough cheese to take the gig. I am intrigued by the pairing. Enough to throw my misgivings about Haley to the wind.
Of course he could always be using us as a negotiating tactic on Arizona. It would have to be a fairly elaborate one though. The story swirling around last week regarding Sparano and Haley working together again makes me believe it's a done deal. It's more likely that Arizona is being used as a negotiating tactic to squeeze more out of Woody. I am very intrigued by the combo as well. I think Sanchez has a VERY similar skillset to Romo.
If Haley gets the job, it will be fun to watch a coach (other than Westhoff) look like they are seconds away from having an aneurysm.
Prior to the end of this season I would have agreed. I'd still say he's more clutch than Romo, but he shit the bed with the playoffs on the line this year.
