I don't understand why people are making this so black and white. Just because Haley and Sparano could potentially both here DOES NOT mean they would be co-OC's!! Why is this so hard to understand? No one would be stepping on each other's toes. Each would have totally seperate responsibilities.

We need him. Sporano is not a qb guy or a playcaller but Haley is both of them. I am excited for lur offense next year if we sign Haley

Because Haley and Sporano split OC duties in Dallas, Haley controlled the pass, Sporano had the run.

People are also giddy because it worked out rather well, but are ignoring the fact that Dallas had superior offensive personnel. Bringing in new coaches won't suddenly make your players execute the simplest plays that they failed miserably at all season long.

If the Jets hire them both, it will likely be on the condition that they are able to work together in the same way they did in 2005/2006, as Running Game Coordinator and Passing Game Coordinator. But Sparano has already pretty much been announced as holding the title of OC from what I understand.

And since they liked working together so much, I don't know why anyone would assume they'd be stepping on each other's toes.

If Peyton becomes a free agent, they will do their due diligence. Im not saying the move will happen, but a coaching change wont stop a team from going after the #1 qb of all time. Only Sanchez can truly do that

Oh you mean like the 4 yard curl on 3rd and 5? Or maybe sending one guy out for a pass on a play action play from your own endzone. Oh no, maybe you mean something like running up the middle on first and second down.

One day people will learn an OC's job isn't just to call plays that fans want to see, but call EFFECTIVE plays. None of those things are effective, but all of those things were done multiple times. We had problems and rather than changing things, Schotty rammed it down the offense's throat. Go look up Einstein's definition of insanity. Schotty, by definition, was insane.

The only person that's going to get a new asshole ripped is Holmes. Mark is smart enough to understand that he has a NEW OC(no more schotty) so he'll actually pay attention to him knowing that whatever offensive-schemes he comes up with, they will be eons better than Schitty.

Holmes better not fuck around with Haley.....

Wow. You mean our run game and passing game could both improve this year? Definitely sign Haley! That would be a great move. Having an OC that isn't afraid to have a run heavy game plan, and an assistant coach that knows how to spread the offense and stretch the field. That makes me happy and tingly inside!

A coaching change like this will keep Peyton from considering the Jets as an option.

    Not gonna happen.

Players finding out they will have to take a paycut in order to acquire Peyton will prevent Peyton from coming, too.

At this point, I'm really hoping this happens. We need proven leaders.

But Sparano was the play caller.

Also about the talent, they had TO who was held in check and played good. Bledsoe and a rookie QB in Romo. MArion Barber and Julius Jones as RBs. They lost their LG before the year to FA and I wouldn't say the rest of the talent is miles ahead of the Jets.

They went over 30 points in 6 of their games. Held to 20 or less in 2 of their games.

Dallas had aging receivers, a nobody quarterback and an overrated starting rusher. Plus an aging offensive line. You act like they were coaching the 1999 Rams.

Peyton and Haley? Peyton runs his own offense, thank you. He might like Moore as a consultant and Sporano would get out of his way, but Haley believes he's the star.

Yeah. Herm Edwards was AHC in Tampa. He really had a ton of responsibility. AHC is like a cookie you throw to the guy on your coaching staff who is overqualified for his position.

So is this likely getting done? I want a coach that will provide help to Sanchez, I feel like Haley would do that more Sporano.
