Zach had a passer rating of 81.4 last night. His passer rating last year was 72.8. If you take away Garrett Wilson's circus catch, his passer rating last night would have been 61.6. He's the same old Zach, like almost every other QB who sucked his first two years.
There are no Zach (yes, spelled Z*a*c*h) believers... there are Jets fans. Maybe you like living in the past, but the rest of us are here now. The fact that his psych wasn't destroyed after last season, & that he's still standing, & did enough to help the Jets win yesterday, says to me that he's anything but a head case. Even watching his post-game presser, he's grown as a man, since last season. Whether he can improve & become what the team had hoped he'd become, who knows, but in this moment, Zach is the guy, & yesterday he did what he needed to do, under the worst possible circumstances. .
You're probably right. I'm certainly not expecting much from Zach this year. My hope is that Hackett and Rodgers can mold him into a game manager for these next 16 games but I don't have a ton of faith in that tbh. Like I said, all we've got left is hope so we'll see how it all shakes out.

That interception was atrocious though. Clean pocket... stared down his receiver and threw late over the middle. A QB in year three shouldn't be doing that shit...

When the touchdown pass you throw singlehandedly turns your statline from bad to mediocre, and it came on a circus catch, it's fair to say what your statline would've been without it.
when your wide receiver has to play defense on a 5 yard routine throw and snag it from the defenders hand or pick a throw from the ground it’s never good.
