Was he the problem for not having a freaking running game, zero, nada. Was he the problem for getting destroyed defensively? Yes he was part of the problem, but the OL and poor coaching are even bigger.
The entire team looked bad. Zach included! A football game is more than a couple plays. The bar can’t be so low that 12/27(44%) with 1 TD and 3 INT = a good game.
The Cowboys were never going to let Breece do anything. Starting with today, teams will block off the run game unless we can show them any semblance of a passing game.
And please show where I said anything to the contrary. You’re obsessed with bashing zack, the the point you didn’t see that the defense got run over, and they gave a rb with 170 yards last week, 4 touches.
There is 0 reason to believe Zach Wilson can be an even serviceable NFL QB. It's sad when a QB makes a routine 12 yard pass and we have to cling to it as a sign that he isn't literally the worst player in the league.
I agree, but 4 touches? They completely abandoned it , almost like they were sacrificing the game, to let zack have a glorified practice
Bears realized Tubinsky sucks, Arizona realized Rosen sucks, niners realized Lance sucks, all were traded, how long till the Jets finally cut their losses?
The result would have most likely been Breece slamming into a wall of defenders for no gain, but I'll give you that they should have at least tried it a few more times.
I'm not saying Zach is good, he isn't. But is he really so bad that it's worth implementing a high school offense and scoring no points anyway? You cannot win in the modern NFL with a conservative offense. It is impossible unless your defense has a spectacular game. There are too many high octane offenses who will simply put up too many points. We cannot keep hoping our defense will bail us out. This isn't 1990. A strong defense hasn't been the primary component to winning for at least 2 decades.
ZW played like an average back-up would be expected to. We're not going to have a decent offense with him running it. It's a sure losing season and if it was up to me I wouldn't accept that but thats a NYJ FO call. In any case Dallas is good and we're 1-1. Hopefully Boyle comes in to run the offense so we can see if he can do better.
The blame is not mutually exclusive... but the idea that aty have this laundry list of problems that we need to talk about that are bigger is silly to me. Zach is terrible, he needs to be replaced. Whatever you or anyone else perceive as a bigger issue great. Who cares?
