Check out these drums I made. Took an old set, missing pieces, put cow material on it, shined up the chrome, bought new drumheads. I might sell it now.

    Hah.

No, sound is actually better amazingly. I put some Evans Hydraulic heads on them. They sound real nice. Good for studio work.

I might end up keeping them though instead of selling them.

Uhmm... how many cows were hurt in the making of these drums?

Pretty cool stuff man. Can't argue with a little more "cow-drum". :)

Wife passed last year, I re-model drums to ease the pain. I'd rather not talk about it.

    Sorry man...I didn't know.
    Really Sorry to hear that.

Music is one of the best friends we can have. It has been there for me on countless occasions especially when I've lost someone close.

Play on my brother, Play on.

So, my pedal just went through my kick drum.

Right now, this is looking mighty fine for me.

I'll try and remember to post mine in here tonight. I bought my first guitar back in January and have been taking a few lessons since then. At first it was a bitch, but it is getting easier and more fun as I go along. I also bought my oldest daughter her first electric for her bday in April and now we are both getting a chance to learn some music together.

    That is awesome

IMO- Music is very important for children. Besides the many lessons to be learned about Practice, Patience and hard work I believe that music (Especially at a younger age) gives excercises to certain parts of the brain that cannot be accessed easily.

I think I have heard something about that a few years ago. Someone was telling me it would help my daughter in math because I was thinking about getting her into piano lessons. She never did get to take the piano, but now she's been playing Sax for about 3 years. We ever get good enough we can make for one hell of a family band.
