knocking Brick for lack of strength is one thing. knocking him for poor run blocking is one thing. knocking him for coming out of VA??? do we really need to reach that far?
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????? 1) This is a completely different point than what you posted before and what everyone, including Abyz, owned you on. You never even mentioned his footwork before, only where he went to college. Try to keep up with your own posts. 2) Try to get your info correct. The issue is more complicated than that. He has the best pass blocking footwork and instincts for an OL in the past 5 years. A "One in a Lifetime Prospect" as he was called by many a commentator. It is his run blocking footwork that needs work. And most of his problem is his weight. And all the reports say he can add a good 15-20lbs. to his frame, which can be easily done in a NFL conditioning program. And with his intelligence, learning better run blocking technique, I doubt will be a problem. So what other random point are you going to pull out of your butt for trying to troll the Jets picking one of the best OLineman coming out of college in the past 5 years?
Maybe we should check with Bellevue and see if they lost a patient that answers to the name of Champ?
I think it's clear Brick will be a bust. Look at the facts: Brick went to college Almost every role player or career backup in the NFL today or in the past went to college The percentage of players who went to college and then went on to be superstars is tiny Every player who has contriubted to the decades of failure experienced by NYJ fans went to college Former college players are responsible for the vast majority of blown assignments, dropped passes and bonehead plays in the NFL today It's irrefutable.
Thank god for players like Eric Swann who were able to bypass college and save the league from those diploma'd idiots.
i dont know why someone would argue a bout how many respectable Pro players UVA produced. demarcus ware is from Troy State. everything is circumstantial, Ferguson will be a solid player, even if hes not the next Walter Jones.
Crickets from the resident troll, CJ69. Once totally owned then the disappearing from the thread act begins.
Nah, he's just trying to think up ways to refute ScotsJet's post without accidentally supporting D'Brick as anything more than a chicken-legged failure from UVA.
I'm here. What is yoir problem? Why are you getting angry with me when all I am is the messenger telling you what ESPN did & how they used video to prove there contention. If you do not like what ESPN did contact them directly & give them all that nastiness you are sending my way. Thanks & have a great day.
Im just curious as to who CJ69 wanted to draft. Watch it be Jay Cutler from the might Vanderbilt dynasty.
Apparently in a strange coincidence, Pete Carroll thinks Matt Leinart is a "gamer", Chuck Amato thinks Mario Williams "is a real player" and Bobby Bowden thinks Broderick Bunkley will play "like a bowling ball with knives" Ooooofffff-fah. Easy on the sugar.
We need PLAYMAKERS. Players that make the other sides D tremble in there cleats. Name me one NYJ player either O or D who qualifies to throwing fear into the enemy?
The guy called Tiki and Rhonde Barber role players, didn't know that Herman Moore was a solid NFL receiver that played in 4 pro bowls, etc etc. The list goes on. Last year in a thread he referred to Lawrence Taylor as a middle linebacker. Any post regarding the Jets move is met with...r u fROM LonG ISland? will you BE GoinG 2 TC in NJ???????? He asked me it in a thread. I answered within 5 minutes that I live on LI and never went to training camp at Hofstra, so why would I go to NJ. Yet, he asked me three times since then why I didn't answer his question. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=5403
Fear throwing is kind of an outdated concept in the NFL. The last player that I can think of that I actually feared on an opposing team was Ray Lewis circa 2000. He was scary on the field and he had people murdered in his limo. Now that's something to fear. Do I fear Tom Brady? Not even a little. Has he beaten us a lot over the years? Sure. Do I fear Peyton Manning? Well, a bit more than Brady, but he's such a wuss in the playoffs it's really hard to fear him more than a little bit. Do I fear LaDainian Tomlinson? Not really. He doesn't suggest the rampaging hordes of the Huns even a little. Did I fear Eric Dickerson? Well maybe a bit more than LT. Even then it was just awfully hard to get scared of a tailback regardless of how good he was. Now Jim Brown was probably a very scary guy when he was carrying the Browns on his back. That's 40 years ago now, completely different era. Who do I fear in the NFL these days? I guess it's the Bill's, Belichik and Cowher. They seem to get their teams up and running at a high pace every game of every year. That's who I fear in the NFL these days. And neither of them is going to suit up for the Jets no matter how much I want them to. So I'm just not going to worry about this throwing fear thing. It either happens or it doesn't and there's nothing that's going to change that. Oh, one more person I used to fear: Terry Bradway. He scared the crap out of me with what he was doing to my team. Think we can get him to go to Miami or New England?
haha. Tiki and Ronde as role players?! At one point last year or two years ago, wasn't Tiki an MVP candidate? It's statements like these that display Champ's overall lack of football knowledge; and yet, we still argue with him because we love to prove him wrong no matter how unwilling he is to acquiesce. it's like arguing with a 4-year-old. cheers
I was talking of ALL the U of V players there are now or were NFL. Most are JUST role players. You show your silliness with posts like with what you posted. See some other posters list in this thread that goes way back as a reference
