Well since Tangini seem to favor versatile players who can assume multiple roles, if we really do need a tight end, I would draft Joe Staley. He's got the size, strength and skills to be a starter at either tackle position and the legitimate quickness and hands to play TE. Imagine what having him lining up next to D'Brick or Moore could mean as a unique asset to our running game in either one or two TE sets. He could also be a legitimate short to medium area receiving threat in otherwise obvious run formations. He could also rotate into either tackle position to give our starters a breather. He has top intelligence and intangibles as well.

    Look at the facts:

    Good Size: Height:6-5 Weight:252

Comes from a good system: Miami

New Jersey Boy: Wayne Hills HS, Wayne, New Jersey

    Very Fast 4.45 40

On an average team this year he still averaged 4 catches and 45 yards a game.

Blew it up at the combines, cool under pressure!

    Has the look: http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p...f1c768e95fd618994937d331543895/greg-olsen.jpg

Would sell a shitload of jerseys!!!!

I just don't want a TE with our 1st VALUABLE pick. DE/DT/CB take your pick , they're all much needier causes than TE unless we are going after BPA.

In terms of just "value", Olsen might be the better pick than the afore mentioned positions. After Olsen and Miller, there's a significant drop off. That can't be said about other positions.

RT-There's not going to be a RT worth taking at 25 unless Brown drops.

OG-I don't believe in taking OGs in the 1st unless you are an already talented team.

DE-Carriker will most likely be gone and we just sign Coleman to starter money.

OLB-The draft is very deep w/ undersized ones projected as 3-4 OLBs. After the likes of Gaines, Moss and Spencer, you still have in no particular order Moses, Woodley, Abiamiri, Crowder, Johnson, Moore, Smith and more.

CB-Though not as deep as the DEs, you can still find some quality CBs in the 2nd & 3rd rounds (i.e, Wright, Jackson, Irons, Brown and Bennett).

All that being said I would be hard pressed to pass on Ross if he is there mainly because of the dynamic threat he provides as both a cover CB and punt returner. I think our PR game was very weak last year. Washington added a spark but we can still improve.
