Glad Sanchez had a positive end to the game. Although I think that Geno had the better night.

That's what I'm wondering. Still good for Sanchez but one good play on a potential blown coverage by a future camp casualty isn't as meaningful of consistent if underwhelming play.

Yes, hobbit, because Mark has been so far ahead of Geno throughout camp.

    Oh wait. He's not.

You said he couldn't compete and he's proving you to be an unintelligent goon. Lol, keep holding out hope that a 5th year vet will beat out a rookie.

Wasn't Lankster a star of last year's training camp? I wouldn't say our CB situation is better than last year's. Lankster is definitely a solid 4th corner.

It was his one bright spot in what was otherwise a disaster. He was intercepted, missed a wide open td pass too high to gates and one too low to Kerley. He sacked himself while dropping back and threw some other bad balls.

Geno on the other hand looked good, thought not perfect, throughout the practice.

I'm really looking forward to the first preseason game where QB's can actually get hit to evaluate how Geno can take a hit, and how many times Sanchez will fumble when he is hit.

If I recall from what I listened to correctly (which is sure to be partly wrong) the summary for all the QBs tonight was:

    McElroy 3 drives

2 TD drives with long TD passes
one drive stopped at the 5 yard line

    Geno: 4 Drives
1 great drive to the 2 yard line stopped by penalties and a drop 3x.
1 long drive for a FG
    2 3 and outs

    Sanchez 5 drives:
    1 50 yard drive with a 57yd Td
1 short drive for a FG missed wide open Gates for TD
    2 3 and outs
1 INT returned for a defensive TD

    Lankster never had a chance.

Didn't know it was Lankster when I posted that, so its not bad. Definitely want to see improvement from Hill. My only worry is that this could give a false sense of how far along Sanchez is and we stick with him based on his good one off plays and not his half dozen crappy ones.

Yea this is how I look at it. For some one going into his fifth year into the league playing against backups, Sanchez performed slightly below avg. Sounded like the broadcasters were much more impressed with Geno

No, he's right. Geno should have made the playoffs start already so the team can carry him.

THAT DAMN GENO! MARK WOULD HAVE RIDDEN ON THE BACKS OF OTHERS LIKE A TRUE CHAMPION OF AFCCG LOSSES!

Ira from Staten Island is raving about Geno right now on WFAN. I hope Geno is good, but I have my doubts.

Wouldnt blame those doubts, it is never the case with Jets and QB's. All I can hope for is Geno works hard and gets better and better and he does not regress in his career.

The Geno curse got switched, usually in camp Geno does a 5/10 with a 50% but has the highlight play. Well know it was Sanchez doing the same thing.

50% completion is horrendous in camp as 55% sucks in regular season.

All this means zero until pre season, Espn and the other so called Sports news been hyping Geno but let's be real the numbers are not that great.

A strong, pretty, Live arm aka Jamarcus Russell get ready for the setup and eventual comparison. Geno from draft had been setup for failure, diva, was not going to show for 2nd draft day.

I hope he proves everyone wrong, don't be misled by the fake strong arm compliments it means nothing. The reporters are hyping up the so called competition, in order to create drama aka interest and that ultimately means more popularity for them via Twitter and page hits.

Hope all qbs do well bcuz who ever is starting Be sure the reporters are looking for a negative story.

If you want a shot at playoffs this year Sanchez is your day one starter. If you wanna develop Smith with no pressure then start him. But he is not Andrew luck or RGIII. You can ruin a guy if expectations are too high and this dude hangs onto the ball way too long right now

Sanchez starts and if he sucks it up...Then by week 8 or 9 out he goes and in goes Geno...but to think we have a shot at playoffs with Geno under center will ruin his career here.

Jets fans are brutal...take a look around the league...there are quite a few teams that would love to have Sanchez. We'll start with the Bills in our own division. Put Sancez with Spiller and they both go Pro Bowl...trust me we could have worse than Sanchez under center
