Thanks folks. Fitz played very well for the Jets. Good thing for you guys he signed.
I wouldn't mind if Brady and BB retire, and Rex ends up in NE......

Also, Matt Forte is looking like a quality pick up for gang green.

Not a Kraft kind of guy so no way that happens. The GOAT is waay too flamboyant for Bob Kraft.

I'm gonna use a word rarely associated with the Jets... We got LUCKY for once! I'm hoping we don't burn him out before week 8. :)

Rex Ryan as your HC is the best thing your team has going for it.

Rex Ryan will be deservedly unemployed before December.

Im just saying ......Rex deserved to be fired theres no question but you cant just forget about where he got us with Sanchez at QB .Bowles had a shot to get in the playoffs and lost to Rex so until Bowles gets us deep in the playoffs nothing else he does matters....

You describe Sanchez as a handicap which in hindsight, he was. Perhaps if Rex hadn't crashed and burned after those two bright moments we'd have fonder memories of him. Bowles had a shot and yeah, the team didn't come thru. I say TEAM because Bowles doesn't make plays. Now in his first year he almost reversed the record. We had that bad stretch where we lost what? 4 or 5 straight and still won 10 games. That's a sign of a good HC and a resilient team.

I normally try to forget losses. Especially BIG losses. No positive reason to dwell on them as nothing changes no matter how much time and effort you put into it. We got to the AFCCG twice and lost twice. Not quite as bad as Buffalo's 0 fer 4 SB's but still pretty damn bad. You don't hear the Bills fans saying: "At least we lost 4 SB's".

Look ahead LIB. Our future is brighter than its ever been if for no other reason we have a GM/HC combo that is both young and has a clue. Something that's been sorely missing over the years since Parcells.

Cman, I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use your last two sentences as my signature. It's a classic line and truer words were never spoken.

I think he is neither intelligent enough, nor articulate enough, for that either...

Matt Forte looks down right outstanding.

Another offensive quality addition was that of Ryan Clady @ Left Tackle. When healthy there's no secret about it, Ryan Clady has Hall of Fame pass protection ability; and as of right now he's currently healthy.

The additions of both Matt Forte & Ryan Clady were genius offseason moves made by Maccagnan as G.M.

Not as a HC or even as a DC. He was a DL coach, so doesn't really get credit for having earned that ring.

Want some irony with this? Rex duplicated exactly what Buddy Ryan did with the Jets back in '68. Buddy was the DL coach on that staff. Like father like son. Spooky huh...

That still makes him the Lord of No Rings.. :)

This is important these next two weeks. We need to win games, but Khiry Robinson was a bigger loss than a lot of us give credit to. He was going to be the workhorse at the end of games I imagined. We need to find some sort of blend of Powell and Forte and even Pope because Forte already has a tremendous amount of touches through only a couple weeks.

I'd also imagine this is Rexy's last head coaching job for a while. One would think he'd be humbled by now and learn to keep his team calm in the face of adversity. He's nothing but a distraction that puts an immense amount of pressure on his players every week. Fun to play for I'm sure but he's proving why he's best suited behind the scenes as a defensive coordinator rather than the face of a franchise. The Bills went from having three defensive lineman in double digit sacks and a top 5 defense in the league to a mess of a unit.

Who do you blame more, though? The owner that put that moron there and completely destroyed the mojo of the unit or the coach who is empowered to do so?

Well JV as they used to say: the buck stops here and in this case, it has to stop with the idiot Owner who needed a splash with his first hiring. Pegula thought that hiring Rex would provide instant credibility to his organization and stick it to a divisional foe. That new Ownership team rolled the dice and now are paying the price as it appears they rolled snake eyes. They have a budding fan revolt and are reduced to mandating firings as appeasement.
