I'm not aware of anyone on here who is remotely assuming a Brees-like season. Where do you get this shit? We think he'll be a good QB in time, but no one is making bold predictions like this. I'm not saying Henne is shitty either. Who knows what either of these guys will do, but I think you are blowing our opinion of Sanchez out of proportion.
It's just the overall general feeling I get from Jet fans I know. Admittedly, I don't think they come on these boards. I'm glad we can have good discussions about it and not flame each other though.
Brees type season is hilarious. Any intelligent Jets fan knows he'll have a game manager role with the option to throw down the field. He does throw a nice deep ball for a young kid. LT has looked the best out of any of the RBs. If Greene goes down, LT will do fine. If Greene is gone for the season, then McKnight better step up in his limited role. Jones would have worn down just as fast as LT this season, and is less of a weapon.
The Jets fans you know that are expecting a Brees type season are going to be very disappointed. Can you inform them that if he has a 1:1 TD:INT ratio this season he's gotten better. Because if he throws 15-15, its a successful sophomore season.
If he throws 15-15 it's a phenomenal year from the standpoint of all but a few QB's in history. Given that Sanchez only started one year in college it would be an amazing feat.
