According to Chris Cotter's sources, "there is no indication of any injury (to Pedro) at this time." I sure hope that that is true.
Presumably you also want them to win tomorrow afternoon. As for me, it won't bother me at all if the Astros win either game. I'm a lot more concerned about Pedro's health and effectiveness, the Mets' #4 starter, and their inability to hit lefties than whether they clinch first before, during, or after a game.
They just showed Pedro talking to the press on SNY. He confirmed that he was only upset because he didn't pitch as well as he wanted to. I actually have a lot of respect for him - he admitted that he was almost going to cry, but held it back. Wow, an athlete who actually doesn't try to make everything into macho BS. How refreshing.
Yeah, he said he cried after some games in the past, just that it was in the clubhouse with no cameras taping it.
Not really sure what you mean by that but if you can't get excited by players like Reyes, Beltran, Wagner, and Pedro then you're a robot.
'Stros had the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the 9th on two errors and an infield hit, Quintero hits into a DP to end it. Phils win 4-3. Magic number stays at 1.
I hear what your saying, in the grand scheme of things I am also worried about what you mentioned. Being a 31 year old Mets & Jets fan I haven't had many opportunities to see my team clinch on the field. With the playoffs a foregone conclusion at this point, it will be nice to see. Lets go Mets, lets end this tonight..
Today is the day fella's. Philly won, just so we can celebrate on the field tonight!
