Goodell's prime directive is to grow the pie for the owners. More money more viewers more money more merchandise more money more rights more money, more money, more money. That's why he's holding games outside the US, to get foreigners to become NFL fans to watch their games so they can sell more overseas TV network rights for more money and sell more merchandise to foreigners. In the US, most men interested in sports already are already watching the NFL. So he's trying to expand the market by appealing to guys who don't like violence, trash talking, etc.. and to women and children. The problem is, real sports guys are the NFL's bread and butter and will always be the vast majority of their revenue. If he keeps turning it into a weenie league then guys will tune out and he'll actually be losing revenue
I really liked this guy when he first started, but he's just been getting worse and worse. Until now, this is just ridiculous.
