Yes, this was well known from his time at Miami onwards. He passed every physical that he took for an NFL team. I wasn't thrilled with the pick when the Jets made it but I wasn't extremely concerned about the knee either as I recall.

You guys are unbelievable.......this is the FIRST time Vilma has missed a game in his career. I have been very tough on Vilma, but to start saying he has cronic knee pain is just over the top. He had an injury, plain and simple. He's been a rock-solid other wise (on an injury note).
