Yeah your right, you clearly got me ROLFLMAO
Clemens still playing and is a millionaire. Only in America
Looking back through this thread lots of people on record for Darnold (including me). Let's hope we are right!
Bump after a few weeks. So far so good for all of us. Many wanted Darnold and its looking good
Great minds and all of that...
More roughage in the diet and ye shall overcome as well
Almost half way into the season and I'm still of this mindset. I feel like Darnold, Rosen and Mayfeild can be good to great NFL QBs.
Allen got a rough go by being drafted by the Bills who have no line and for some ungodly reason traded the only vet that they could even pretend to start in front of him. The Kid needed time to sit and learn and got thrown to the wolves with no protection, Good job being the inept Bills we all expect you to be.
I still think this is how it shakes out when all is said and done
I agree to some extent. I ranked exactly the same as you when I started the thread, but I think Allen will end up being better than Rosen. I don't like anything I saw from Rosen. Wish I was wrong since Allen is in our division, but I think he has a better career Rosen.
I'm not willing to really asses Rosen yet. He was in an awful situation with a coaching staff that had no clue what they were doing, and was also in a constant state of change. Also, on top of that he was thrust into action way before he was ready. A bad combo. I expect Rosen to look leaps better this season.
I agree with your ranking, it's what I had predraft of the Big 4.
I look at Rosen kind of like a Jared Goff situation. I don't think Goff is nearly as good as he looked in the middle of last season but he's better than I thought and I could see Rosen having a similar resurgence with Kingsbury and if he gets some weapons and stability around him.
I think Rosen will make the biggest jump this year. I might regret putting Josh Allen on this list over Baker.
Baker surprised me, but I think in due time the 4 above will catch up to Baker. I think Rosen will have a Baker like rookie season next year. Has a good coach that will take advantage of the weapons. If he gets traded to the Giants, he'll have a good season there as well. Cardinals really screwed Rosen his rookie year. They didn't involve DJ in the passing game and Christian Kirk didn't come in till late. Rosen also had the worst offensive line out of any of the QBs BY far. Baker had the best line and to be honest the softest schedule for a rookie.
I think I am right with Darnold and Jackson. Jackson will have a better year throwing next year. They need to put him in better situations.
I agree about Rosen. It's way too early to judge him. He is not as mobile as Darnold/Mayfield and had pretty much the worst oline in the league. Plus you can't ever judge QBs based on their rookie season. To me Rosen's ceiling is Eli Manning, but we won't know until he gets more experience and better protection.
At this point I do think Darnold looks the most promising based on his improvement upon return from injury, but it's way too early. I still think Allen has the highest bust potential of them all and think Mayfield will be good.
All 4 QB's were in a bad situation.
The Jets had very few playmakers and a shaky line. The Bills were even worse off talent wise. The Browns had won like 1 game in the 2 previous years combined.
Neither Darnold nor Allen were really ready to start either.
Yet all 3 of those QB's were also thrust into the starting role, and managed to get better as the year went on.
Not buying the Rosen excuse. He was a big part of the problem there, and will not amount to anything imo.
Way too stiff, no pocket mobility, and the wrong attitude to lead.
