Look around the league, Andy Reid took on the Chiefs. Gruden came out of a $5 million broadcast job for the Raiders, Carroll left legendary status with USC for Seattle, Bill O'Brien was comfortable at Penn State and blew them off for Houston. The Jets have HC job openings seemingly every odd year and nothing like that ever happens. Gee I wonder why? but go ahead and call for blood with Gase after only 2 games, with a backup QB. Bruce Arians, bonafide NFL coach comes out of retirement for Tampa - he doesn't even consider the Jets opening. Raletard would say he has a "losers mentality" for not wanting to coach the Jets. But do you blame Arians? He'd be here right now with people wanting to fire him simply because Sam Darnold has mono. McCarthy, who I wanted to hire, dodged a bullet. Good for him for not having to take on this shit show.
Belichick and Pete Carroll, both hired and fired/demoted too quickly from this circus ass franchise are certainly laughing their asses off that's for sure maybe the Super Bowl will be Seattle and New England again - the Jets deserve that
McCarthy was just as much the answer as Gase, aka not the answer at all. He would have been a slightly less terrible hire and it’s not even worth discussing what could have been because it wouldn’t have been much better than this.
