    NEW YORK JETS, Green Hurricane

I had two themes that I wanted to maintain: 1. Players that have a passion for the game and 2. Versatile players that can add depth early on.

Rd 1 Ricky Sapp, OLB, Clemson- I've went into a lot of detail on the Sapp pick already, but I do really like him as a football player and as a fit on this team. He'll need to be developed, but he can contribute early and be seen as a cornerstone of the defense for a long time.
Rd 2 Linval Joseph, DT, East Carolina- I love how he fits in the defense, I love the versatility he provides, and I love the potential dominance he brings to the table. Athletic and strong he'll be a nice plug-in out at End as a rookie.
Rd 4 Brandon Carter, OL, Texas Tech- Taken because I think he's got the ability to play inside or out at Right Tackle at a high level. He's not a dominant specimen athletically, but has an attitude and a passion that I think will find a place on this team.
Rd 5 Walter McFadden, CB, Auburn- Stepped up at the end of his senior season and ran well enough to cement himself as a legitimate developmental prospect. One of my favorite corners available after that top level.
Rd 6 Kyle Williams, WR, Arizona St.- Another guy that I targeted from early on in the draft. When I think of adding a slot receiver, I look for a kid like Williams, lightning fast, built strong (Coles body type), and can take a quick crossing route to the house on any down. Plus, he has the downfield speed to flip-flop he and Cotch to create mismatches.
Rd 7 Stafon Johnson, RB, USC- A better option than fellow Trojan Chancey Washington, Johnson can be a very good player in this league. Never given a full shot at SC, I feel like he'll have a better NFL career than Joe McKnight, even starting from late in the draft.

    SEATTLE SEAHAWKS, Green Hurricane

The two year plan means something for me in Seattle, and I'm creating this team to be back at the top of their division by 2012. The players I chose were taken to develop together and form the core of my team.

Rd 1) Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State- Prototype #1 receiver, the kind of guy who has no problem being the dominant force on an offense. Whoever the QB is over the next few year will have a friend in Dez.
Rd 1) Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech- Really a steal at this point, a cornerstone, passrushing defensive end. Morgan is a stud, and will make a lot of the secondary holes on that defense look smaller.
Rd 2) Jason Fox, OT, Miami- An idea zone blocking offensive tackle. Has big potential because of his athletic ability in any system, but could be truly elite working with Alex Gibbs.
Rd 4) Ben Tate, RB, Auburn- I love the fact that he was here this late. Just as Fox was a great fit, Tate's powerful running style and newfound breakaway speed could make him a great option as a zone runner.
Rd 4) TJ Ward, S, Oregon- A true strong safety, Ward is a fierce hitter and could provide some pop to their secondary. Also, would start from day one without another quality SS on the roster.
Rd 5) Jeff Owens, DT, Georgia- A powerful nose tackle to plug into the middle of the defense. Even as a fifth rounder he could get into the lineup very early.
Rd 6) Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas- Shouldn't have been here at this spot, and I don't care if he was my 2nd WR of the draft. Briscoe is a much better player than a 6th round pick, and could give my Seahawks a very powerful 1-2 punch at WR.
Rd 7) Zac Robinson, QB, Oklahoma St.- Good enough to compete with Mike Teel for the 3rd job, maybe take a season on the PS while we get him used to an NFL system. Showed a much stronger arm in workouts than I thought he had.
Rd 7) Keaton Kristick, OLB, Oregon State- His name is cool.
