A true NFL genius will hire somebody that they are completely unfamiliar with. Just like that schlock consulting firm that hired Idzik. Nobody in their right mind would trust two former successful NFL general managers to use their past experiences to find talent in the available pool.
Don't know much about the Jags organization or what Smith has truly contributed to their decisions other than they have not been successful for as long as I can remember. That being said, from what you guys have said scares the crap out of me. What the hell is the appeal in this guy with that track record? It's great that we ditched Bradway but is it an upgrade at all if we replace him with this guy? Doesn't seem so.
