I could see Curtis Martin being that strawman. Demeaning? Yes, but maybe in doing so Johnson would understand it might be worthwhile to the Jets to bring him on in an advisory position that would also bring some satisfaction to the beaten down fanbase. What would need to happen though is that Martin would actually need to be respected and his input accepted within the organization.
