Who isn't? Coughlin's using him wrong and not getting him involved in plays. Hell, even Tiki's complaining and when two vets are complaining about the coach, you know things are fucked up. Coughlin ain't no Torre, so I don't expect to come back next season. As for Torre, I have faith in the guy as I have done always. That guy truly is a miracle worker.
Shockey regularly drops passes. You know this. He is a loudmouth player who doesn't back it up. We've seen this since his Miami days. He had a huge drop on Sunday on that 4th-and-2 play. That was not Manning's fault. It was a rare perfectly thrown pass by Manning.
I've never said he doesnt drop passes. I mentioned him dropping passes in my previous post. But u also know Eli has horrible accuracy and lot of missed opportunitys are on Eli's behalf, not the Giants receivers(except Plax, hes Randy Moss light). Its kinda hard though to have a good day when the ball rarely comes his way and when it does its usually overthrown or underthrown or thrown way behind him before he even breaks from his route. The giants only throw a couple dink and dunk passes with him when in previous years he was a deep middle threat. I think he only has 2 20+ yd catches this season and thats literally because they dont throw to him deep and when they do, Eli's overthrowing it to him in double coverage and hes still lays out trying to make suicide catches. When Coles does it, we rave about his toughness, but since its Shockey it doesnt mean jack. Youre making him sound like hes Jerramy Stevens or something, a guy who thinks hes good but brings nothing to the table. And u calling him a pussy is unjustified. If u dont like him its understandable, but dont make it seem like its because hes untalented.
Let's not make him out to be Bill Hewitt. The helmet got popped off by a defender. Shockey was not in a position to drop to the ground and go into a fetal position. He did what I've seen countless other players do when their helmets get popped off. I admit it was not the best word selection.
