And then Rex would have been killed for that ten times more after Cruz went for 1700 yards this year. If you want to 'blame' or credit Rex for anything, blame his cornerbacks for not covering Cruz. If he doesn't have the game he has against us, he gets cut regardless. The reason Rex was saying that was obvious, his talent showed in that game.
They're in the SuperBowl because they're one of the luckiest teams in the NFL. Lucky to have even madet he playoffs.... They are proof-positive that the Regular-Season record doesn't really matter just as long your team gets all the breaks in the Post-season and you get hot during that time as well....
it's funny to me how much we are in the head of the Giants organization and people still think we are the little brother?
Car wash? Try "staying home and collecting welfare checks". (was that mean? yes. I hate the Giants and their players.)
It's remarkable that in two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl the Giants can't seem to go a day without someone in the organization taking a shot at the Jets. If members of the Jets organization did this about the Giants they would be trashed all over the NY media.
I bet when Rex wrote the book they probably said something like we're better than that' when asked for a rebuttal...clearly they're not.
Rex's Big Mouth Really Does Hurt Us http://cnnsi.com/2012/writers/don_banks/02/02/victor.cruz.super.bowl.xlvi/index.html Team officials this week even confirmed to the Newark Star-Ledger that New York had decided to waive Cruz at the end of the 2010 preseason, and hopefully sign him to its practice squad, but changed course because it feared the Jets would snatch him up. That's because Cruz had turned heads with a three-touchdown showing against Rex Ryan's team in the New York-New York preseason game that doubled as the first game ever in new MetLife Stadium. "I hope they cut him,'' Ryan said that night. "I know one team that would be ready to sign him, and that'd be us.''
Aside from a hashtag after winning the game, who else has had anything to say about the Jets? And I know I'm going to be killed for this, but why is everyone acting like this trash talk is coming out of nowhere? For the last 2 years the Jets have called the Giants little brother, said they're going to be the better team for the next decade, and mocked the Giants for not making the playoffs. Were any of those comments instigated? No, Rex wanted to stir some shit up and he did.
Let's stop acting like the Giants and their fans haven't looked down on the Jets for decades. Rex Ryan may have been talking shit, but the Jets have been taking shit from the Giants and their fans for decades and when the Jets finally pay it in kind (albeit in a much less subtle way), they're throwing a temper tantrum acting like we were the ones who started this. I'm amazed Giants are considered the "classy" ones because for every douchey Jets fan I meet, I've met 6 loud mouth Giants fan. Not saying you're like that, from what I've seen you're courteous and mature. I always root for the NY team, and I WANT to like/root the Giants, but their fans make it hard to do so.
Giants fans are so giddy with the way things are turning out that they can't control themselves. The cocky and arrogant attitude demonstrated by both the Giants and their fans during this recent winning streak is a really just a spontaneous outpouring of relief from the many Giants fans, who were PANICKED that Rex Ryan might actually lead the Jets from their usual spot at the knee of the Giants, and vault them into a higher level of success that the lowly Jets and their low-class fans deserve But thankfully, St. Wellington, descendant of the bookmaker and rum-runner Timothy, cast his spell and struck down the pathetic Jets, returning order to the world. The funniest part of this post is that most Giants fans won't see the sarcasm:wink:
If the Giants cut Cruz after a 3td game in preseason they would have looked really stupid. He never would have made it to us on waivers anyway.
