It will if Favre keeps throwing like he did on the first drive. But that's not something I'd count on.
It's not so much what happens to the ball as to what happens to the quarterbacks' hands. Cowboys QB Don Meredith had this to say about playing in the Ice Bowl- "My hands grew colder with each drive. When your hands are as cold as mine were, you can't wing the ball, and you have to wing it, you have to spiral it in a wind like that." Meredith threw all soft passes that day and had a problem. He was 10 of 25 for 59 yards with 1 interception. Dan Reeves was 1 of 1 for 50 yards and a touchdown. Bart Starr was 14 of 24 for 191 yards and 2 TDs. Ken Anderson says his fingers now hurt whenever the temperature drops below 40 degrees as a result of playing in the Freezer Bowl. He was 14 of 22 for 161 yards and 2 TDs in that game. Dan Fouts was 15 of 28 for 185 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTs.
Thank you! I should have said "how does the ball" blah. Ok, so then when the QB throws, does it feel like a ton of bricks to the reciever? I guess it would if your hands are freezing. Made me wonder if players would rather play in snowy weather or freezing.
It's time for the Pack to start worrying. So far they're being schooled on both sides of the ball, and are lucky the Giants can't get it in the end zone.
