Cut him next year and they only save $400,000 against the cap. He is due a $2.5 mil roster bonus in March and his salary is about $510,000 which is league minimum. His salary for 2012 is about $650,000 He restructured this off season so I doubt he would again, if he shows a few more flashes the rest of this year I would think they would keep him around for the $3.6M over 2 years it would run the team.
I think his play against the run is very solid. And I still believe he's going to get better. We just haven't found the right way to tap that physical potential yet. It WILL happen.

I think the likelihood of him coming back next year is slim to none, and slim is looking for the exit. However, based on his performance over the last 3 ears, he may not get much attention from anyone else. This could open the door to a Rex project, but only for OTA's and camp. If it doesn't pan out then, he will become the journeyman type of player that will bounce from team to team to fill DL injuries.
