Gotta admit I get pretty excited every time i see this guy on the field.

Really thought his first career sack was coming tonight

Yeah I've been watching him closely when he's been in the game. He has great burst off the snap and is starting to be able to shed blocks and get into the backfield. He was a split second away from a sack on the brady to moss touchdown too IIRC.

I was pretty pumped after his tackle for a loss... He's around the ball a lot too, and hasn't been pushed around in run support. Not who we thought we were drafting, but right now with the DL depth extremely thin, it's good to see the guy contributing.

Getting something out of him is better than getting nothing at all so I am pleased with his progress. Hopefully he can continue to make an impact on the team and at least help win some games.

Did anyone else notice that he's not on special teams anymore?

yeah. thats a sign that hes developing. that or they are worried, with all our other injuries, that he cant get hurt.

i do want to say tho that this guy has made me happier than almost any jet so far. so glad to see him finally contributing and becoming a part of the team. i hope he gets better as time goes on.

I think the name of this thread needs to be changed to "Gholston is loaded now"

I bet he'd play a lot meaner if he had a flask of Jack on the sidelines.

I have seen him in more plays this season than ever before, but is it a little pathetic that I get excited when I see him shed a block or pursue the ball a normal DE would? I don't know, but I digress.

He's played well as a rotational guy. I think it's beyond obvious that continuing to ask him to play standing up was the biggest mistake last season.

He's made more plays in 2 games than he's made in 2 seasons, or it at least seems that way.
