Mine was super quick. 30 minutes including the 15 minute wait at the end. It was a drive through site.
Got my first shot yesterday (I'm in Maryland) and it took a little over 2 hours door to door. I left my home around 1:15pm for a 2pm appointment. I was parked and waiting in line at 1:38pm. Didn't get shot until about 2:50pm, but then I was home by 3:20ish. There were a lot of people at the mass vax site, but it was well organized and moving pretty much the entire time. The state just said that everyone can get the shot (finally), so I expect my next appointment in 3 weeks to be a little longer.
Sounds like they didn't keep you there for the fifteen minute observation period which has been the rule here.
They were not incredibly strict on it, but I do recall leaving at 3:01, so I waited 11 minutes. I just happen to live really close.
Look at Texas numbers fully open without masks compared to states in lockdown. They're doing much better and it's something you should be happy about.
I just got my first dose yesterday (Pfizer). It was super hard to get the appointment (I had to refresh the page on NY's website God knows how many times), but once I was there, it took 5 minutes to get the shot and 15 minutes to wait to make sure there were no adverse effects. So far my only side effect is a sore arm.
Got my second Pfizer shot at 8:30 AM, felt side effects at 2:00am. Headache, chills, body ache, for about 4 hrs. By afternoon I was rebounding. Rested and stayed hydrated. My wife got second Moderna shot and got through it with no effects.
Got both Pfizers and I am done! ...woohoo Shot one made feel a little off but nothing too terrible Then got 2nd Pfizer last Sat and shit it was like bang zoom right to the moon of foggy vision body ache chills and headache for a good 3 days and then tapering off the rest of this week! So 7 days out today and returning to "normal" 90 per cent protected
For those still looking to find a shot, I got emails from both Walgreen's and Northwell Health yesterday saying they had doses available. I didn't look at the details because I've been done for a while but I have to believe these two places are probably easier to navigate than the NY State system and the process of actually getting the doses may be easier as well.
I’ve had both Moderna shots. No ill effects from either one, but I’m kind of like a medicine cabinet, you can put anything in me.
Just got my 1st pzfizer shot Parents have already had both, and neither had any effects (both in their 70s)
