I agree about Chris Long. I was excited about him at first but I caught a Virginia Tech game and it was clear he is going to be a 4-3 DE at his current size. If I were in charge I would trade down and try to get a 1st and 2nd this year as well as a 1st next year. Then I would draft Gholston with out 1st round pick. Of course with where he might go we may not be able to get that much but my priority would be the 1st rounder for next season. With our 2nd round pick I would choose Red Bryant. He is a REAL NT and currently the only reason he is not a 1st round pick is because his season was cut short for knee surgery (nothing serious to my knowledge).

As far as the draft I won't try to predict anymore because anything can happen after that. I would move Robertson to DE and but Bryant in the middle. Our LB will be Gholston, Vilma, Harris and Thomas. Rhodes and Revis are the only certain starters in the secondary in my eyes. I don't know what happened to Dyson and Erik Coleman but at this point it's whoever wins the job in camp. I am liking Elam, other than his tackle on Revis of course. I am excited to see how Miller comes back with how he played in camp. If next camp he is shutting down Coles and Cotchery again then he gets the job most likely.

We definitely need a LG and a RT. I don't think Moore needs to be replaced yet, playing next to Clement must be hard (same for Brick with Clarke). Whether those are addressed in the draft, FA or both remains to be seen but those are the main two spots for me on offense. Thirdly would be TE, preferably a receiving TE. I think if we got a good receiving TE that Baker might be able to become an H-Back and we can forget about a FB. I think if Chris Cooley can do it, Baker can. Then we can role out 2 TEs every play to help block and receive. A third WR would be nice but those 5 positions need the most attention IMO. Like someone earlier said, RB is the last thing we need having Jones and Washington.

    UPDATE

I looking into Bryant's injury, he tore his ACL. He had surgery within a week of being hurt though so hopefully that means it wasn't too serious (evidence being little to no swelling which allowed them to do surgery so quickly). This might turn into a blessing in disguise though. On mock draft boards he has fallen from the 33-37 range into the 50-58 range. If we are able to get 2 1st round picks along with a 2nd this year we may be able to get Manningham and Bryant in the 2nd round.

    What?

Young came in in the middle 4th quarter of a 13-12 game that is widely regarded as a classic when Joe Montana was injured. Roger Craig fumbled with 2:36 to go and the Giants drove for the winning FG.

How the hell is that Steve Young's fault?

Do some research before you start spouting about great players, because unlike average players great players careers are well chronicled.

Young completed his first pass in that game after Montana went out for 24 yards to Brent Jones and then the 49ers ran the ball 4 straight times culminating in Craig's 1st down fumble that setup the Giants win.
