It sure is a flawed metric, but it is directionally correct. Guys with QBRs as low as Mark's are pretty much objectively bad at playing the position. Even the most clinical, optimistic appraisal of Mark's play where you basically ignore anything he does not pass related (like fumble) would probably pin Mark as a wash if even a hint of honesty were involved. That's why Mark is and should be a back-up. He's the guy who you have on the bench knowing that, if your starter goes down, Mark will only lose you 2 of 4. And that's how depraved we are as Jets fans - we get a QB who pretty much guarantees as 1 TD per 1 INT, one nice play per mistake, 1 W per 1 L, a nice probability we win enough games to sneak into the wildcard on off years - and we get all nostalgic about the guy.
You don't have to feel nostalgic about anyone. Embrace your hate, it's fine. Just don't feel it necessary to dump on anyone else's nostalgia. _
I pray that he was joking. If not, someone give the dude a drug test. That might be his problem. I legitimately have no clue how he had any success in college. The guy simply is brutal.
Geno misunderstands: Pro Bowl QBs aren't supposed to throw passes to players from other franchises until the Pro Bowl itself.
why shouldn't geno talk about the pro bowl, rex is probably hyping him like the best qb in the nfl like he does will all our scrub players. this is yet another example of rex not keeping his players grounded. sad and can't wait for this clown to be out of the nfl never mind the ny jets....
