I'm not a Rex basher; in fact I've been in his corner for a while. But the fact that Geno missed the meeting on Saturday and then started in inexcusable IMO. He has lost control. Everyone can sense it. He needs to go.
and I guarantee you it will eventually come out that he was not even at the movies. No way..no how. You would have media people that would have confirmed that by now. He was not at the movies. Could be wrong..but I highly doubt it.
at least the amount of posters defending Rex on this have dwindled to the usual. There is something about Rex that I really love...and would have loved for it to work out..but the same people screaming for patience are really screaming for patience in a JET WORLD. Patience with mediocrity. Patience with a GM who has just been exposed for one of the worst drafts ever. Patience with a QB who has shown that he is in full mental breakdown from the pressure. Patience with a GM and owner that decided to sit on 20 million in cap room when this team was one receiver going down from being the worst in the league...check. Patience with all that cap room of having the worst secondary in football...check. Patience with a HC who in his press conferences asked "if there are any Jet fans still alive"..check. Who allows perhaps the first qb in the history of the NFL to miss a pregame team meeting the night before the game and play him anyway..and then defend him after the game. While this might not be true, a team complete throws the towel in..defense especially...at 7-0...Chris Johnson fumble. How can you explain the number 2 rushing defense allowing 165 yards rushing to the worst rushing offense in the NFL. He opens the door that this team was truly fed up that their HC allowed a member of the team to miss the only team meeting before the game because he was at the movies. AND THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION....HAVE NOT HEARD THS ASKED......How do you get the times mixed up? Does not every phone adjust to the time when you land? Hotel rooms have EST times ? When he checked out the time for the movie...did the paper/website..recording do the 3 hour thing for him? How did that happen? EXACTLY WHAT CLOCK WAS HE LOOKING AT.
sympathize with anyone that is getting too much crap but having a tough time with Geno. He deserves worse. Rex had a chance to lay a hammer down and passed. This might be the final nail in the coffin for him. And that's sad if its this..because loyalty is cool..it really is. If Idzik ends up winning and getting to pick his own coach? 2017...it will take that long for Woody to rid himself of Idzik and start all over again. We just lost 3 more years if that's the way this plays out.

Oh man JS...but if that's the case and he even lied about that? Listen..not trying to make a huge deal about something that's just a big deal...but if he then went on to lie about where he was? This could blow up for him in a huge huge huge way. And you wonder why one employee at the Movie theater has not come forward and said..yeah...Geno was here..unless that has happened and I missed it.
