The rule of thumb for young Qbs in the NFL is 12 starts and then it's expected things slow down for them and if they're talented they'll play more consistently. And that was true for Geno last season. He was much better the last 4 games. So the team was optimistic about him going into 2014. Remember he's coming off of a rookie year when he had a stretch of 3 or 4 of the worst games for a Qb in NFL history when his QBR was about 10. His QBR against the Chargers was even lower if that's possible at 7.5. So I think if it continues he'll get benched again. And as for the Patriots game on Thursday they'll start Mike Vick. Except they won't announce a decision on it until game time. Rex'll keep Belichick guessing.
