This fucking team, THIS FUCKING TEAM.... The Idzick legacy just keeps rolling the hell along on down the frigging tracks.
A jaw can be broken in MANY different ways. If he dislocated it and has to drink out of a straw the next 4 weeks he won't be practicing. Depending on the extent of damage he may not be able to sprint for a few weeks. If it's a minor fracture then of course it's a different story.
Smith is done for 2015. I don't care about the 6-10 week prognosis. The guy takes a decent hit in the regular season and he's skittish for weeks following. This will fuck him up for the year, especially since any of the momentum he had from TC is gone. He aint coming back in 2015, at least not coming back and playing any good anyway. Time to move on. Stick to the original plan of Fitzpatrick occupying the QB position just long enough so they can tank this season and acquire a new guy next offseason
Really? So anyone who didn't share the opinion that Geno is better than Fitz is a "God Damn moron"? You sound really ignorant making statements like this.
Schaub is the back up on the Ravens. The choices are slim and none. (Vick, Jason Campbell, Matt Flynn are the highlights of FA pool.. damn its shallow). Maybe Orton likes NYC and will come out of retirement.
I think the interesting thing to note is that if the Doctors have to wire his jaw shut, he will absolutely not be able to get the nutrition he needs to maintain his game weight. He may easily lose 20-30 pounds. I'm not sure how this doesn't adversely affect his durability.
As others have said, he can still practice..he will have a better cage and he will be off limits to hit but there is absolutely no reason he can't practice and within a few days too..the biggest problem will be being understood with a wired jaw.
This is unbelieveable. What are the odds the Pats will pick up IK and he can sucker punch Brady??? What I don't think anyone has talked about yet is the damage to Geno's psyche after this. You can expect fights among teammates but to get sucker punched by a teammate with so much lasting damage will affect Geno for a long time. It will depend on whether the rest of his teammates rally around him -- if they don't reassure him I think Geno's confidence is blown. He might be thinking of when that next blow or missed block will be coming. He will also perceive how other teams view him in light of this situation and that might affect him too.
I wouldn't mind it but he's not a fit for the offense Gailey has installed. Glennon is more of a hold the ball and rip it downfield type of guy. He's also very immobile. Gailey's put in an offense to get the ball out of the QB's hands quickly and on the move to accomodate Geno, Fitz and even Petty. All 3 guys on the roster are really the same type of QB, and the exact opposite of Glennon.
He will be back by week two or three. The fuck are you talking about? You are clearly biased and are "hoping" for this result. It's not an educated conclusion, its a hopeful conclusion for you.
