Interesting take! Everything I read about it says it’s terrible and is another hatchet job. I’ll have to watch one day when it is streaming.
I really wasn't expecting much as the movie cost me $.50. I was pleasantly surprised and even with all the unecessary action hero moves, it was intertaining.
Speaking of Marvel movies, I saw the leak for Tim Blake Nelson as the Leader and it's what I would expect from Sony with a Spiderman movie. Disney stopped making the MCU legit a long time ago. The people that were making the right decisions have apparently left the building.
How bad could Joker 2 be? The first one is great! Surely the criticism was just because of unrealistic expectations. nope! What a purposeless piece of garbage that barely qualifies as a movie.
I wanted to watch based on the first one being so good and purposefully dark. Then I read it was a weird musical piece of absolute garbage and stayed away.
If I ever get my hands on a good batch of hydroponic mushrooms, I might give it a shot. Those things could make even the Olson Twins teen movies entertaining. I've heard.
The musical element is the least of its issues. In fact, the music may be the only interesting idea in the film. I think the idea is the musical numbers are in his head but they never feel like they are crazy fantasies or delusions. But even if they had and that element worked it wouldn’t have saved the movie.
It did have a purpose, which was to basically tear down and erase the original. Odd decision, to say the least.
I did try to warn people about this movie. Wasted 2hrs of my life watching this shit and came out with the overriding urge to destroy.
I think everyone did. This is one of those movies that makes some money by people watching it just to see if it was as bad as everyone says it is.
I did... Pretty decent although it was hard seeing Denzel as a villian. Good character development as they did try to portray the lives of gladiators. It was as good as the first one IMO. No academy awards though so expect to be entertained, not overwhelmed.
I pirated 'Gladiator II'. Am I the only one who laughed in all the wrong places? The wife gets arrowed through the chest and Lucius finds her in the sea, c'mon. Then the babboon things. What an unnecessary laughable film. It sucked hard.
I lasted all of 20 minutes into pirated 'Wicked'. What a gigantic pile of shit. No way I was finishing it. It wasn't going to get better.
Headed out to see the new Disney Capt. America tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how good or bad it is. I'm hoping Disney didn't fck this up as its the last decent Marvel franchise left standing. Edit: This is the first movie of the new franchise and it was obvious they were very careful as to how to bring about the new Capt. America. They had several references to the 1st Hulk movie which was smart. This one has some parts that were simply overdone. They did take the time to build the plot and develop the characters. The plot felt strained as it tried to show a non-serum Capt. America having the same abilities as the enhanced original CA. All in all, not bad, not great, no academy awards. It was a safe launch of a new franchise. The trailers for "Thunderbolts" and "Fantastic Four" didn't exactly light a fire of interest but I'll go because I was a fan of the old MCU. The sequel to Capt. America definitely sounds intriguing. Don't go expected a great kickoff to a new franchise cause you will be disappointed. It was Okay, but that's all.
