Zero buzz around Spiderman - No way home. I'm in no hurry to see it however, I have heard its a bit of a teaser for Dr. Strange II.

My brother and my nephews saw it opening day and raved about it. Personally I'm oversaturated with superhero movies so I will wait until it's a rental.

What I'm really looking forward to is the Matrix movie. I saw the first one in the movies while I was visiting my parents in Florida. I had no idea what to expect and I was blown away. The 2nd and 3rd one weren't as good but I loved the mythology. Can't wait to see what this one is all about.

Zero buzz? 2nd biggest opening ever!

I have to say that overall, I did not enjoy these Spiderman movies as much as I did the older ones. Maybe it is nostalgia, who knows. That doesn't mean I disliked these movies, just didn't love them. That said, when you take the entire trilogy as basically Spiderman's origin, it does become a bit better in my opinion. The theater did get dusty a few times, and just like the old movies, Green Goblin and Doc Ock were the best villains again.

Spiderman movies piss me off. Don't get me wrong, the latest edition was better than the other ones for me due to the overall Marvel vibe. Spidey was always a superteam kind of guy.

The problem I have it their constant bad choices for lead actor. It's like none of these casting directors has ever read a Spiderman comic.

Yes he is young. Yes he is a photographer and yes he is physically fit. Yes he works for a newspaper and has an aunt named May.

The one most important thing they get wrong every time is that Peter Parker needs to be funny. Not funny like squeaky voice one-liners but like fucking funny as shit. These actors are not funny at all, they suck ass delivering humor. Every Spiderman fight I ever read had me rolling in tears when they did it right.

So I've given up on Spiderman after 3 tries. Maybe they can get the Xmen right on the second try because I'm sorry, the first one was garbage to me.

I meant that nobody is going nutz over this Spiderman movie. Big openings are expected but it how the movies does after the initial wave of fans have seen it is the tell all. l just haven't seen the kinda buzz that Eternals had, or Avengers End Game or movies of that ilk.

I'm just saying the critics loved it. There no accounting for other people's taste.

I'm really sick of all the superhero/comic book movies. I miss movies like Memento, Inception, Blood Simple, 12 Monkees, Dark City, LA Confidential, Seven, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, etc.

I miss the old school movies like Italian Job, Guns of Navarone, Ocean's 11, Where Eagles' Dare, Gone Girl. Even some of the lesser movies that wind up online quickly.

Theatrical release is in the doldrums right now and probably will be until the pandemic turns into the endemic. At that point we'll see where everything settles.

Theatrical releases had been in decline for a generation though. There is so much competition vs actually being there and the competition gets stiffer every year as more streaming outlets debut.

Just finished Matrix Resurrections. I enjoyed it but I can see why others would think it's crap. My biggest compliant was Lana Wachowski interjecting her woke agenda into the film. But that's pretty much a given with all movies these days.

It's nowhere near as good as the original. I'd say it's on par with 2 and 3. If you didn't like those, skip this one.

Lana Wachowski is a transsexual. Realistic expectation, bro.

I thought my memory was effected and I had to look out up when they said Lana Wachowski and Wachowski sisters. I thought my male dominated psyche altered my own memory to believe the original movies were made by the Wachowski brothers.

If anybody wants to see the real Wachowski woke agenda, check out Sense8. It's like the entire pronoun war wrapped into a supernatural tart.

I remember seeing that on my recommendation for Netflix. It looked like it was for preteens

Finally saw Spiderman: No Way Home. It definitely hit all the nostalgia spots for me growing up on the Tobey Maguire and even the Andrew Garfield Spidermen.

Same here. Masterstroke including all the prior Spidermen in this movie. Almost as if they're passing the torch to the new kid. Movie on whole was ok. Character development wasn't overwhelming as they set up the teens as typical teens. Dr. Strange's cameos were an obvious lead in to his Sequel which I can't wait to see. All in all, good entertainment but you have to ask.. Where do they take Spiderman from here?

It had huge buzz! Everyone I knew was talking about it. It made over a billion dollars in a pandemic. Pretty amazing, Spider-Man! ;) I really enjoyed it too.

I can't believe how polarizing Matrix Resurrections is. People either love it or hate it. I'm more in the middle, leaning towards disliking it. You explained it well, that it is more like Reloaded and Revolutions quality. I probably like those films a little more though. This one is all over the place and makes no logical sense to me, but it was entertaining at times. I liked the new character Bugs and being able to see Keanu as Neo again was cool.

The best bit about Resurrections is when they are brainstorming what the new game would be like, particularly the threat from WB that we'll do it with you or without. I kind imagine when they were discussing the new film that was what it was like. And that's its big problem too formulaic, too much box ticking and not enough real story.
