This goes out to the usual suspects. If, tomorrow, we get off to a slow start, as we've done now for 13 straight weeks; if our quarterback, still in his second year, struggles early against new defensive looks before he's able to settle into a rhythm and start making his throws; if we find ourselves down, by three, or seven, have patience. Have faith that Sanchez, and the offense, will get a read on the D and shake off that start to play well. And if you can't be patient? If you find you have no faith? Well, if that happens, get the fuck out of the game thread and keep your damn idiotic opinions to yourself. That means you, Ed's posse. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
As annoying as these fuckers are, I feel like we turn it around right after one of these idiots makes a thread about our season ending.
I avoid the game threads at all costs now. I used to stop in around half time but no more. During important games, I don't go online anyway, if I need to talk Jets, text messaging is my outlet.
I actually laugh reading the dumb shit a few days after the game. Let the retard brigade be. :steelers:
I've never been a fan of the gameday threads. The actual game is stressful enough; then you have to deal with a lot of posters in gameday threads, that in my eyes, can take away some enjoyment from the game. Schotty blows, Edwards cant catch, Holmes isn't clutch, Sanchez is losing the game, Cromartie is overrated, Bart Scott doesn't make impact plays etc, etc... It's always the same, nothing will ever change. Plus... We talk about the game the entire week leading up to the game, after a while... I cant talk anymore. The computer becomes the last thing on my mind. It's all about going crazy during every play, sometimes having to flip the burgers in between plays, getting my drink on, & just enjoying the game with the older bro. I'll always have time to talk about the game, after the game. But during the game, I just wanna enjoy it to the best of my ability. Too much negativity can ruin some of that enjoyment. Just some of my thoughts, everyone is different though.
I only view the game threads if for some reason I am not able to go to the bar or the game and can't get it on television. I get an online stream, but it is always a few seconds/minutes behind. I refresh the game thread on crucial 3rd downs since I can't help myself. Other than that, I read them after the game just to see some of the ridiculous shit in them.
I don't understand how anyone can post in a thread during a live football game. Don't understand one bit. I'm far too crazed to even think about touching a keyboard during a game. I won't answer my phone, and txting is hard enough. Shit, if anyone is fucking crazy enough to call me during a Jets game, they should know I'm not going to answer.
If they haven't learned by now than I don't think they ever will. Anyway fuck them they aren't real fans. I hope instead of posting a dumb ass thread they will go and watch Bart Scott's post game comments instead.
The game thread, people spazz out like crazy. Like if the other team converts on 3rd down its WW3. Its mad funny looking back though.
