Great episode, but have to agree not as good as Blackwater Bay. Watching it UK time, about 18 hours after you guys, means I don't post in here but I always check reactions and thoughts - after I've seen it. If you're crazy enough to read the thread before seeing the episode you deserve every spoiler you get.
Either or. There are people who don't watch the episodes live and come in here so just a courtesy *SPOILER ALERT* is nice... There is a thread for Book spoilers so that's where ALL discussion for that goes. I agree with you to an extent. I try not to come in here before seeing the episode but some people actually just started watching season 1 so it's just a courtesy... I'm not going to go crazy on it... just wanted to remind..
Anyone see this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/09/game-of-thrones-birthday-party-_n_5473749.html
That's fine, I'll probably just go somewhere else to discuss the show. I'm not putting spoiler alerts on my posts when they aren't spoilers. It's like discussing the end of a Jets game in the Jets forum right when it ends. The game is over, the show has aired. It should be open for full discussion. I'm not going to go in the Jets forum and tell people not to discuss the ending of the game, since I DVRed it and didn't watch yet, I'll just not visit the forum until I do. If anybody's just starting season one, they shouldn't be reading a thread that follows season 4 episode by episode. I apologize, I'm just anal about that kind of stuff in general. It's like making somebody stop at a green light, just in case somebody on the other side runs it. I mean you can guarantee you'll never get into a red light accident in your life, but is it really worth it? That stuff grinds my gears, no offense to you personally or anything. I just see society in general constantly overdoing things to protect the stupid. 1 kid out of billions that have gone to school in the US jumps out a window and now all schools have windows that either do not open or just open a crack.
Not trying to be a clever dick here or have a pop, but the original OP was all about the show and instigated chat about AFTER the shows. If you can't put spoilers in the thread then I suggest closing it and go with Byz's thread, this one is pointless now.
It's a discussion... all I'm suggesting is a heads up when putting a spoiler in a post. Don't understand what's hard about that where the alternative is to shut it down? ****SPOILER**** I wanted Ginger to live ... I liked her...
***SPOILER*** Like most characters in this badly made season, she was poorly developed and I'm not sure why anyone would have a reason to like her. She was irrelevant just like every other non focal character in that episode that had a name assigned to them. I'm surprised they didn't kill Tormund too.
My issue is that they are not spoilers, so labeling as such is confusing as hell and entirely unnecessary. By definition a spoiler is something that is revealed before a show airs, for example somebody referring to future events from the book. We shouldn't have to label non spoilers as spoilers. That's where I pull the plug. This will be my last post in here.
The thread title could just be changed to "May contain show spoilers, enter at own risk" or something. Having no book spoilers is good though. Personally, I don't usually watch the show until Monday or Tuesday. I still come in here sometimes to see people's reactions (I've read the books) but realize that in doing so I might find out something that differs from the books. I'm okay with that and I think that's on me. I don't think it's the responsibility of all the people who watched the show to hold their tongues for a week about what happened. Plus, even if you put *SPOILERS* someone is probably going to read it anyway.
Well now I'm confused on which is the Spoiler thread and which is this thread lol Can someone change the name of the other thread to label it with respect to the books? Considering that's what's really talked about in there. Would help distinguish between this thread and the other
Huge episode last week ALL about the wall, I wonder if that storyline will be continued today? A lot of loose ends to tie up , none more so than the fate of Tyrian. I'd also like to see the Ayra storyline more developed... Maybe a Bran sighting???
Yeah I'm excited to see other story lines again. While one whole episode at the wall last week was fun, I wonder how it will transition back to the other characters now.
I kind of wish this episode was 2 hours long. It seems like there is so much that they have to wrap up. Sure there will be some cliff hangers but just seems like they are going to be fairly rushed to get it all in in under an hour.
SPOILER on runtime of finale episode The finale is 66-70 minutes long I read. So it won't be the short 52-54 episodes we have been getting. So if you have DVRs or what not, just make sure it goes over or the guide on your cable is ready.
I don't think we will see the wall again. They Might let end it with snow walking out of the tunnel. However, hasn't he last 3 seasons ended with white walker sightings?? I know 2 of the seasons did...not sure about the other one. I'm so psyched for this one
