Epic.....the tracking shot alone was one of the best things I have seen on TV.

    That was fuckin awesome!

That arrow shot from the giant was so epic!!! That was one of the few episodes that was just non stop action. I'm so excited for the finale but damn I don't want this show to end yet!!!

Still kind of upset that they scheduled the NBA Finals right in the middle of it, but w.e. Got to see it in bad ass HD on my roku :)

    Question from a rookie:

Who/what was that head/figure with the white opaque eyes (couldn't tell if it was a person or just a head) that later animated and said "It is time" to start the raid on the wall?

He was a warg, able to put himself in the body of the owl they kept showing on the wall. I figured that would cause some confusion, they didn't portray it well enough. As far as who, just another wildling in the show, I don't think they ever gave him a name.

Warg. Same as what Bran Stark is. They are capable of working through an animal. It works much better when the person is close with their animal. Bran has a strong bond with his wolf, hence why he can use his abilities better.

We saw this a number of times this season. One scene when Bran was seeing through his wolf eating in the forest. The others awoke him to tell him that he needs to eat and not think eating through the wolf will benefit him. Also the scene where he uses his wolf to see the camp that they were later captured by. The camp Jon Snow arrived at to destroy.

Ahhh, thanks. I originally thought it was just a head on a spike and the eyes had turned white. When his eyes reanimated I was a bit confused.

Dang- never saw that episode. Looks like I have to go back and watch it all from the beginning.

    Did find this blurb interesting:

Viewers might be forgiven for thinking that you pretty much have to be a porn actor if you want to star in Game of Thrones. However, for season four, the show's producers cast a number of genuine adult film stars, including Jessica Jenson and Samantha Bentley, winner of the Adult Video News award for Best Group Sex Scene, who both play prostitutes on the show. Australian amateur porn actress Aeryn Walker was also cast as one of Craster's many wives, and professed herself "really excited" about the role, while Sibel Kekilli, who has played Shae since season one, has also starred in adult films in the past.

Spoiler for those who didn't watch?? (This is going to be annoying every time I post now)

My favorite part of the episode was the huge chain swinging and clearing the wall. I thought that was awesome. I also liked the nod the young kid gave Jon snow when he put the arrow in his lovers heart (Don't remember her name)-- was like yah I got your back Snow. Lol

I'm also starting to like Sam much more. How come Jon didn't take th sword at the end of the episode ?? He said something to Sam right before he walked out about not losing it but can't remember the significance.

I thought they were just causing an avalanche--that anchor/chain thingy was so much cooler than your everyday run of the mill avalanche.

He promised not to lose the sword again. So he gave it to Sam to hold for him for until he returns.

The arrow shot where he blasted that guy through the roof was awesome.

Are you talking about spoilers, like REAL spoilers, or people discussing the episode after it's over? No offense, but if I hadn't seen the episode yet, I wouldn't be reading this thread. If anybody was spoiled they can't blame anybody but themselves. Asking people to refrain from discussing the ending of an episode after it has aired without spoiler alerts is downright silly. Don't reward people for being stupid. Let them learn from their mistakes so they won't repeat them.

This was a great episode, but I was really hoping they'd show some of the Tyrian story. I can understand them wanting to wait until the finale, however. I'm excited!

Just watched the episode and I think it was a great episode. Lots of good action, cool kill scenes, the giants looked bad ass without being kind of over the top and cartoon-like.

Yeah that was bad ass. I was like "oh, they are going to cause an avalance? That's cool I guess" I had no idea they would be shredding guys with some crazy razor anchor thing.
