Amazing episode, as said before, even without the Imp. Not sure how I feel about Jon Snow's situation, whether he is being fucked or groomed. I really want Joffrey to get his friggin throat slit, and Cersai(sp?) is fast becoming one of the most conniving, evil characters on television. Really happy with the development of the Dothraki side of the story, it's going slow, but they are definitely begining to get their own chunk of the series devoted to them. And Frickin Baelish. He has been my favorite character in the series all along, and I had a feeling he was going to fuck over the Starks, especially given his speach to the whores early in this episode, but I really didn't think it would come this soon. That mother fucker really pissed me off.
I been telling my friend he should watch this series and he caught part of an episode, then blindly watched the 7th. I told him to start from the beginning, but he's hard headed. I feel bad because he was really liking Ned Stark and thought Sean Bean was doing a great job (and Mark Addy too). Now the King is dead and Ned has his balls in Cersei's pinch. He doesn't think he can watch it. lol
I've never wanted the next episode of a show so badly. This is truly one of the greatest series I have ever seen. I've started the books which are (of course) equally as incredible.
I'm getting caught up on this series. I just finished episode six and I'll watch the seventh episode shortly. It's really good so far, but I didn't like how the last few episodes were completely without the Jon Snow/Night's Watch story. The crown scene was epic - I fucking hated Viserys.
You'll get a little bit of Jon Snow in ep 7, but it kind of pissed me off how everything went down. I don't want to spoil anything but you'll see what I mean.
What a shit episode. I've been trying very hard to like this show but after shows like True Blood, Dexter, and OZ this show pales in comparison.
I don't like Game of Thrones. They talk too much. Stop watching it, then the posters that actually enjoy it won't have to read shit posts like this. Game of Thrones > Dexter ...especially after how shitty season five was.
Try harder, those shows suck balls compared to GOT. I am not a fantasy guy and like all 3 you mentioned, however, they are absolutely trash compared to the storytelling that is going on in GOT. Don't watch............
I sort of agree with Madbacker on last night's ep. However, I do think this shit is coming together nicely. The frustration the viewer gets with the Lannisters, now, will pay off dividends later when the Starks side with the Barbarians later and kill them all (just a guess).
I didn't have any issues with last nights episode. The stories are starting to move along. I liked how the dancing master was able to best like 5 guards with a wooden stick. That opening scene was good. The Jon Snow scenes were welcome. I'm warming up to his character on the screen finally. And I loved the scene where Rob stands up to one of the elder banner-men... certainly he means to cut my meat... your meat is tough! That was pretty awesome. And we got more of the Imp. I think it was a solid episode overall.
So I can't comment on what I thought of the episode? I'm hoping for more action that's all. I agree that season five of Dexter was not its greatest but season 1 was better than this season so far. That is a stupid comparison though. I haven't read the books but it seems like some action is missing in between the dialogue. Maybe it was a cost saving effort or I'm just completely wrong. The Lannister's are just pissing me off and I want harm to come to them every single episode, even if it were just a cut on the arm, something. I'm invested in this show now and after last weeks great episode I was hoping it was going to keep in that direction. For a fantasy show like this to work for me anyway, there needs to be action. Otherwise it's just General Hospital set in Middle Earth.
That part drove me nuts, why the hell wouldn't he pick a real sword after a dispatched a few of them? All that was need was for him to bend over and pick one up.
I haven't read the books, but I'd imagine that a lot more action is coming. Winter seems to be coming, and that means that the night's watch will be busy. Also, Rob is leading an army up to King's Landing.
I loved the episode last night, once again, they are laying the ground work for something epic. Just one little correction though. from what I gather, Kings Landing is south of Winterfell. So, Rob is leading his forces down.. to Kings Landing. As the slave woman said to Bran, he is going the wrong way with that army. The nights watchmen are in for the worst horror show experience they could ever imagine.
How is that a correction? She was saying he should be leading men north against the coming winter. EDIT: nevermind.. I see what you were getting at now.. from Steve's post. Yeah, he is leading them south. Given the white walkers I would move everything as far south as possible.. screw that wall business. lol
