Love this fuckin show. I don't think I've ever been more pissed at a tv show when they made Ned kill the wolf. Those fuckers are awesome. Also, the queen and her twin brother are the biggest cunts I've ever seen in a program.
CGI... they are eventually going to have to go there with the things that are to pass. I can understand them trying to keep the costs down as much as possible, but eventually they will have to do something.
Meh. I imagine their budget is big enough. Shit, CGI isn't even expensive anymore. Cheaper in most instances (I.e. 300) Considering HBO spent $20 mil on the pilot of boardwalk empire alone,I don't think that's a concern.
It should be cheaper than it has been in the last few years... or getting more cheaper, but I know sometimes shows can get hung up budget wise on this stuff and I would hate for that to be the case. Most of this show so far as been just some sets and acting. It just has such a large bloody cast..
I don't think budget is an issue. I think they're trying to preserve the sense of realness that sets the show apart from typical fantasy for as long as possible. They can get away with that for most of this season. MILD SPOILER The final episode will likely be the entrance into CGI, and then we'll have to see more of it.

I've always thought the first book was largely written that way for that very purpose...draw people into what is a very real and plausible tale (aside from the Others) before unleashing a bit of fantasy into it.

Ok this isn't spoiler because I have not read the books. What is the over/under on the # of episodes that blond dragon cunt is going to live? 1 or 2? He has pig food written all over him. I actually think that fat Sam guy is going to be fun to watch this season, well if he evolves from that sniveling fat pussy he is now. I really hope he becomes a man and some of the fairies on this board can learn from him. HBO would be doing TGG a great service.
I had the exact same thoughts. I also hate everybody with blonde hair on the show minus the dragon dude's sister who is married to the warrior (sorry I'm horrible at remembering their names).
