I don't think the Jets could afford to trade Geno this season. Unless Petty starts lighting it up starting tonight. He should get plenty of reps as well.

Geno Smith knows the system. Can't assume Petty can go out there and play decently when last season he had troubles taking snaps under center

What time is it? What time is it??! Game time!! I really wanna see Geno Smith shine while performing at an elite level throughout the preseason in hopes that he'll be named our opening day starter. I really believe in this kid especially when he'd now be surrounded by an offense with offensive firepower. With that said, chances are Fitzpatrick will start and I'm hopeful for Fitzpatrick as well especially considering the fact that last season was Ryan's 1st year with our team. The chemistry, continuity, cohesion & familiarity should all be improved with Fitz this up coming season but I'd be lying if I stated I'm not pulling for Geno heading into preseason play.
After allowing Jacksonville to march down the field, it was great to see our 2nd year stud in Leonard Williams pick up that 3rd down sack while forcing Jax to settle for only 3 points.
Damn what a return for Jeremy Ross. 51 yard return putting us at midfield. I'd rather see Jalin Marshall returning but nonetheless this Jeremy Ross has some wheels.
Damn. First preseason drive or not, Fitz just reminded me of last season where unless we were within the red zone he was pretty bad between the 20's. Jeremy Ross returns midfield but yet Fitzpatrick failed to get us into field goal range. He looked awful that drive. Defenses just don't fear his arm whatsoever.
