If either team is willing to overpay, e.g. the Ditka trade or RG3 trade, then I'm willing to trade the 6th overall pick. Mariota isn't guaranteed to be a franchise QB.
No and what if he does become a franchise QB? You'd be happy we made the trade? You willing to take that risk at the most important position in any sport? I'd rather live with him being a bust then us trading out of it and forever seeing him become a franchise QB. You can trade the pick and draft multiple pro bowlers. You only trade that pick if you don't need a QB. The Rams would have never made the RG3 trade if they needed a QB. Hitting on a QB is worth more than two first round picks; it's simply a silly argument to say you trade out of there just to get an extra pick. The same risk that the QB busts is the same risk that the extra player picked busts, but the reward that the QB is great is higher.
They could move RG3 for some value.. and if they don't i'm pretty sure they don't fully trust RG to even stay healthy let alone win games. If Mariota is on the board at 5 they could get him

Eli Manning / Marcus Mariota? I have no clue what JetBlue said to me - again if he wants to talk about it he can gladly quote me again and come at me. No-one on this board has rebuked my issues with Mariota at this time. They are very much valid. It ain't just about Luck, it's about all of the QBs that have been "bust proof" in the past.
