Israel once democratically elected Menachem Begin, who at one time ran the Irgun, a known terrorist group. Israel more recently democratically elected Ariel Sharon, who at one time was convicted of committing war crimes.

So, if you support Israel because its a democracy, you support terrorists and war criminals.

This whole topic is fucking stupid. Most of the miscreants that play in the NFL would be in jail if they weren't playing football. Who gives a fuck what this guy's politics are.

 What a joke. If PFLP was considered a terrorist group, then why weren't they all arrested and detained along with Oday during their conference? People love to throw the terrorist word around as if it's even remotely relevant here. Please drop some proof that the group has committed terrorist acts or called for others to kill innocent people. Having a guy speak for you once and then later finding out he was a terrorist at some point does not equate to a group supporting terrorism.

 Yeah no mentions of Islam at all, right? Muslims don't follow Islam. Give it up, man.

    Pork: the other sectarian meat

    Ftr, I love BLTs.

on-topic: that article's about as sloppy as played out, next morning snatch. For now, Sanchez is the only one throwing bombs on this team; a case where ADD symtoms meet AAD systems.

The group he spoke in front of IS the extreme. Any group that associates with support for Hitler and Hamas is extreme. I believe it is a reflection on the Jets that they have a player who speaks at such events.

And you're wrong, the little guy you speak of as being vilified around the world is Israel, much because of people like the ones on this forum.

I cannot believe that this New York forum is made up of so many Israel haters. I'm really surprised. I can see that you guys will be rooting tremendously for your buddy Aboushi, and he'll think everything he's doing is just great. Thanks for nothing.

PFLP is on the State Dept list of terrorist groups. Instead of just looking this up, you post nonsense.

Is writing about a group of extremist Muslims the same as writing about Islam? I don't think so. Maybe you do.

Why don't you just take 5 minutes to read the article for yourself and click on the links in the article for the proof. Do you have to read it in the Post to believe it?

The topic is only stupid to those without a brain. Topics like Sanchez sucks and Rex Ryan runs with the bulls are by far much more enlightening, right? What grade are you in?

Did you really just call Israel the "little guy". They have one of the biggest armed forces in the world! I don't hate Israel, I hate it's policies and government. You act like that is such an abomination. Being against the idea of an Israeli state does not mean you want all Jews or Isreali's killed. It's ridiculously absurd to associate those 2 viewpoints and generalize people because of it. Palestine has a valid quarrel with Israel. Maybe you should define terrorism, and explain why you feel Israel doesn't count when they have done some despicable things that have caused more innocent deaths in the past couple decades than Hezbola's or Hama's entire existence.

Oday Aboushi's belief system is irrelevant to me. He's not shoving it in my face. Most NFL players have belief systems that I disagree with. It doesn't stop me from rooting for them. A lot of NFL players say and do stupid things.

This does not cross the line for me. Sorry.

If someone has video of him saying things like "Down with Israel!" and other quotes of that ilk, I may reconsider. If he has post-game interviews where he goes out of his way to push his beliefs on me, I may reconsider.

But him speaking at a Palestinian convention? I don't care. An Arab-American US Senator also spoke at that convention.

And saying we don't care doesn't make us Israel haters, just as someone saying he/she doesn't care about Tim Tebow associating himself with Christian fundamentalists that is anti-homosexual doesn't make that person a homophobe.

israel could destroy the entire region in a day, they are NOT the little guy by any means

this is one of the problems with the world today, everything is so goddamn absolute and extreme. sympathizing with palestine and calling israel out on its expansion is not the same thing as being an anti-semite (im a jew...) or an islamic extremist.

I know, his playing is the only thing that matters to some of you. He could speak at a neo-Nazi rally or kill someone and you will just go along with it until he screws up on the field.

    No problem, right?

You're Jewish and you don't care. No problem, but thanks for announcing it. Don't know why you had to. I'm sure you're proud of yourself for it.

Then why were they allowed to speak on American soil? I don't understand how the government would allow a known terrorist group to operate over here.

Nice to see speaking at a convention and MURDER are considered in the same boat for you.

And he mentioned he was Jewish because he should have more reason to be offended than someone like myself and likely many of the other posters here, who are not Jewish and have no Israeli ties. Yet, he isn't. Because it's not a big deal.

Could it become a big deal later? Sure. But if we cut NFL players based on problems that may come down the line by employing this player, we'd have to release 70% of NFL players.

Nah, if he said down with Israel, I don't think you would worry. IMO you would just keep on defending him like your forum friends here.

So now your argument is your opinion on what I MIGHT do based on something someone else MIGHT say.

    Nice.

Being for or against Israel's expansion is a legit debate. Speaking at events that support groups named by the US as terror groups is 100% different.

Nah, I base it on what YOU say. IMO, I don't think you'd care if Aboushi said down with Israel. That's just my opinion, but I think I'm right. IMO, as long as he does his job on the field, you'll keep clapping like a seal.
