Eh, yeah but I think at 2 there’s no stress that anyone can take your guy when you know Lawrence is a done deal since January. No one that I know of knew anything about their plans in 2020 or any of the picks from 2021 after 2.

No one looks poorly on the Colts for telegraphing the Luck pick and allowing WFT to trade up and get RG3 pre-draft. If you know there’s no risk, I’m not sure how big of a deal it is to hide it.

Especially since they still robbed the Panthers for a 2+4+6 for Darnold.

The top 2-3 picks are usually a relatively known quantity from around March

It’s not about not getting your guy though. And WFT and Indianapolis are in different conferences as were the Rams. So what the Rams did with that pick is much more irrelevant to them than what the Dolphins did with ours.

It’s not a huge issue, but I don’t think Douglas’s ship is locked down any tighter than the majority of franchises. It’s minute, but why not just make sure nothing like that ever gets out just to be sure?

Why would the Jets care about potentially giving Miami an advantage? Dude… cmon.

It may have been obvious we were taking a QB and San Francisco would’ve traded up regardless of who was there. Or maybe they wouldn’t have. I don’t think we should’ve telegraphed our selection though.

Miami would have been much better served worrying about getting a QB themselves. Keeping Tua cost those damned fools a great coach.

I have been reading with great interest all the draft thoughts from TGG members, particularly those here that have shown over the years quite an in depth knowledge of the draft and college personnel talent. Cant wait till the combine to start.
I'm curios and a a bit surprised that not too many see us trading the 4th pick or both picks for that matter to garnish more value picks and really bolster the core of a much maligned roster. Do most see the kind of talent at 4 and 10 we cant pass on, particularly in the face of a pretty rich first and second round group and no particular two or three cant miss super stars really highlighted so far.

99.9% of the posters here want to trade down. The reason you keep seeing the same names is bc the players we want may still be available with slightly lower picks.
