Yes, UNLV seems to always play home and homes with them and we go to Honolulu this year so we do get that extra 13th game. I think we are one of the few teams in the conference that would push for Hawaii in the MWC but that'll never happen. There is a strong rivalry between the two schools and there are many Hawaiians that call Las Vegas home so there is always support for them when they play here. Always fisticuffs in the stands as well which tends to be more exciting then watching UNLV getting crushed.
So now rumors are swirling that CUSA is about to go bye bye and that's why they talked to the MWC about a partnership. From what I have heard the Big East is going to approach Central Florida, East Carolina and Memphis and ask them to join dropping CUSA down 3 teams. Now here is where it gets interesting. Should BYU no longer remain a member of the MWC then Houston and Utep or Tulsa will be invited to join the Mountain West and killing CUSA in the process. If BYU stays then it's only Houston. LaTech apparently is on the verge of joining the Sun Belt giving them 10 teams but with the breakup of CUSA they will approach UAB and Southern Miss now giving them 12. Then the what remains from CUSA will get together with Idaho, Utah State, New Mexico State and San Jose State and create a new conference. Hawaii will be independent and BYU is undecided but all indications at this point are independence for them as well not because they want to but apparently the MWC presidents are accusing them of using "insider information" ot use against the MWC and provide them a safe landing spot in Non Revenue sports. Here's what even more interesting about that, The WAC Commish Benson actually approached UNLV and San Diego State about bolting but wisely they declined and shared the info with the rest of the MWC and now BYU could be on the outs.
