Not sure how it could be medical. Crosby plays an insane amount of snaps for a defensive end. 94%+ every year since 2022. I wonder what this means for the Raiders cap. They’ve spent $320+ million all-in including all years of the contracts on FAs so far.
I know it’s not how it works. But the cumulative number I saw that they’ve spent is $320 million. It was just a baseline figure to say they’ve spent a fuck ton of money and I wonder how needing to retain Crosby impacts all of those signings which to my knowledge aren’t even official until tomorrow.
Seems to me the notion of failing the physical has some bas connotations. It would be quite damaging to use that as an excuse if not true.

He was getting meniscus done, and everyone knew it would take a little time. Physical appears as an excuse. What it feels like to me is that they grossly overpaid to the Raiders, and came to their senses. As this was agreed before the official date, there was too much time to think about it, and after everyone criticized them they changed their mind. Just shows how well Mooge did, where he got even better deal for Sauce and there was no time for the Colts to back out!
Yeah it’s not the first time that teams have “agreed to a deal” but then someone backs out…shit that’s happened to us with that CB way back when that agreed to a deal then went back to Minny and resigned there (can’t remember his name now). But it’s like the saying goes…it ain’t done ‘till it’s done. these couple of days are great and you can agree to trades and signings, but until the contract is inked on Wednesday at 4pmEST, it isn’t done and anything can change.
