I'm all for any signing that helps the return game. We should have some nice competition in that area in camp, and I feel that is a role that has always just been handed to Kerley. Or should I say, a role we kicked to Kerley and he just fair caught it.
Louis Vasquez --- OG. Released by the Denver Broncos back in March. 6-5 335. Just turned 29 yesterday. Didnt play well in their zone blocking scheme. Built more for the power run game. I'm just not sold on Brian Winters & want some serious competition. Not to mention that we need a contingency plan if James Carpenter ever goes down.
I wouldn't mind this pick up one bit, his natural position is RG. Maybe it would take the heat off Breno having somebody legit next to him rather than some quasi rookie scrub. He seemed somewhat more competent before Colon went down. Doesn't say much about Breno as a player, but it is what it is.
man we can't have breno out there again next year.. can't watch him get moonwalked into our QB anymore
Great article that should give fans even further confidence in Mike Maccagnan; http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2016/04/7_best_jets_offseason_moves.html#0 When looking at the moves he made with what little $$ we had, ---- these are all stellar solid signings. And it doesn't even reference Bruce Carter ILB. Not that Carter is going to Hawaii anytime soon, but the guy is a solid experienced veteran who could very well show up in 2016 with an Erin Henderson 2015 season. I'm thrilled with Mikey Mac ----- cautious low risk moves in FA this past offseason. Can't wait to see what we do in the upcoming draft.
