The amount of money being thrown around right now is fuckin nuts. I'm not upset JD is not biting. This is crazy
It's true. How much would it have taken for Thuney to choose the Jets over the Chiefs? They'll likely need to overpay to have a shot at the top guys, in which case many would complain about overspending. I'm hopeful they will make some quality signings, but it will really come down to the draft to build this team - and fortunately they have great draft capital. I'm not going to overreact or be shocked when the Joe Thuneys of the market don't sign with the Jets.
Lol when our QB gets pummeled every play we can at least point to the fact that we didn’t overspend! Cap space wins championships am I right?
Some of these deals are pretty crazy. We have literally never seen the Patriots do anything like this in Belichick's tenure. You think he's feeling the heat from Brady's SB in Tampa? It's funny that they have to sign all of these deals, it shows you what a bad job drafting they have done over the past few years. I really need to sit at the end of the night and look at all off these to see what the patterns are. Also, remember, a lot of deals are misrepresented in the first few days.
Guys relax. We are gonna build through the draft. Zuniga, Davis, Clark, Morgan and Perine are the foundations of this team. We are fine.
When were offering pennies on the Dollar? Both received top dollar. Douglas isn't one to pay big money. We saw that last year. Maybe once his team is near complete , but he was never going to sign either of those guys. Were a few years away from relevance.
Sure but you’d have to have paid Thuney 100M to come here. Paying a guard 100M would be the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen and I’d be calling for JD to get fired to be honest.
I get building through the draft is the most important thing but we're in for a bad surprise if we think we can remake the interior of our OL with 2nd and 3rd round picks alone. We need at least one proven guy there and so far we have 0.
Signing Faneca immensely helped Dbrick and Mangold become great players, which then put Sanchez in the best position a young QB has ever had here. but hey there’s always Alex Lewis getting beat every play to look forward to.
Thuney was a third round pick Lindsey was a fifth round pick Yeah we could have really done with them, but they set some hell of a market. We have a guy who values the trenches a lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see 23, 34 or our thirds being spent on interior OL. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
94% of the nfl won more than 2 games, so yeah... it’s definitely not a coincidence that most of the free agents are signing with 94% of the teams
