Good kid, wasnt a fit here and never really lived up to the billing whether that was fair or not. I appreciate how he hates losing and the culture that losing creates but... then he goes and signs with the Texans?
I was going to offer the over/under on the time that Cimini tweets "that's the end of the 2016 draft class" but he appears to have done it within nanoseconds of Jenkins release.
With Jordan Jenkins gone, Marcus Maye is now the longest tenured Jet. It is a little concerning that the Jets were so bad in 2016, changed coaches twice, changed jerseys, completely changed the roster from top to bottom, and are still pretty bad. My belief is they will take a big jump in 2021, but that is interesting to have no one left from 5 years ago.
I liked Jenkins - thought he was a decent player. I'm thinking he doesn't fit into Saleh's scheme. He is definitely replaceable though....
That's because Mac didn't know how to run drafts....he had five of them which it turns out have produced nothing special except for Q. So in essence the Jets have started over twice in those 4 years.....
Didn't know where to put this but is anyone else already sick of Urban Meyer yet? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...says-nfl-free-agency-system-not-good-business I ultimately think he's being to be a colossal failure as an NFL coach and I'm pretty much rooting for it at this point.
Joe is still going to make some mistakes, he made the one with Robby and I'm sure he'll be kicking himself about a few signings he missed the mark on. Ozzie Newsome made mistakes too, and Joe isn't Ozzie. I think he's got the right overall approach though, short term deals for a bunch of players with chips on their shoulders. None of these guys takes pride in not lasting past their rookie deals, Carl Lawson seems like the friendliest guy in the world and he wouldn't even talk about the Bengals yesterday. That's how you get instant production from a bunch of new players. Nope, Keanu Neal isn't signed yet.
It feels way too much like Spurrier, minus the podunk slap-happy witticisms. Dude is barely through the door and he's already telling the NFL their business, literally. I wonder if he plans on running the score up on some team in preseason.
I agree. No GM is perfect. They all, even the best, miss on draft picks and FA signings. It's just magnified with us since we've had such horrible GMs, and the team has been so bad. I know that JD is working hard, doing his best, and definitely believe that he is going to turn things around for us.
