Anything's possible, but that's quite a cynical perspective. If six additional women with documented interaction with Watson can instantly and simultaneously decide to slander and ruin an innocent man for money, you would think the dog-piling phenomenon would be an epidemic. I realize plenty of individuals are capable of it, but not en masse like this.
I didn't say I thought that was what happened, just that the way it could happen is 3 people setup Watson and a bunch more dogpile on. It's starting to look like Watson made some very questionable decisions as part of a pattern for which he is going to pay a very steep price. I don't know that's how it is going to go down but I see nothing out of Watson that suggests he is the kryptonite against #metoo.
Watson can forget about making a few extra bucks in the NY market doing commercials & selling his brand.
Watson isn't getting traded in the near future, and may be completely done in the league, so it's Wilson/Fields or Darnold for us. At least that's one less thing JD has to consider going forward.
Unless the Jets are the team, I hope this doesn't mean that he's going to be traded somewhere rather than hitting the market.
Come on Jets. Bring him home. He'll be a beast of a Will. Edit: I'll go ahead and predict Cowboys here. Familiarity with Dan Quinn, Texas is tax free and Joe is in cheap mode.
Currently deciding means the Jets offer is higher than the 'Boys but he really wants to go play in Dallas.
I read the Juju got an offer from Phily that was several million higher but wanted to stay in Pitt for a championship run. Regarding Sherman, nobody knows where he is talent wise right now as much as Selah. If he thinks Sherman is worth it we'll grab him. But watching him down the stretch last season he looked like Revis when we signed him the 2nd time around. We don't need that.
Imagine being a player in a locker room where the expectation is that you win every year and everybody is playing really hard from start to finish to get there. That's why the Patriots and the Steelers have been the class of the AFC for the last two decades.
It does help. But Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford will tell you that being HoF caliber doesn't mean your team wins every year or even most years. Put any of those guys on the Patriots or Steelers in their prime and they are winning every year.
I think the Pats and the Steelers both have some down years coming. I'm pretty sure Belichik is going to take a QB in the 1st this year. If that works out for him he's ok and if it doesn't he's turning his mess over to McDaniels sooner rather than later.
